Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 30
18 Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you,
Isaiah 30:18
And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
How blessed are all those who long for Him.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
I will quicken your heart to the sound of My voice. My sheep know My voice. My sheep follow My lead. My grace is sufficient for sheep. My grace is sufficient for the people. Those who know Me know My voice. They hear My voice, and they follow My lead. My grace is sufficient for change. We are changing directions, but you will recognize My ways. My ways are unchanging. My directions may change. Our direction is changing. Stay in step with Me. Get in lockstep with Me. Though the terrain is unfamiliar, My ways don’t change. My voice remains the same. We are marching into new territory. We are going to tread unfamiliar terrain. Stay in step with Me. I know the way.
21 Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
Isaiah 30:21
I Am leading you to a new day. I Am leading you to a whole new way of life. My ways remain the same, but yours can change. Yours should change. Yours will change. You will see a sudden, big leap forward. I Am accelerating the times. I Am causing the clock of the enemy to run out. My clock knows no end. The enemy’s clock is finite. I’m speeding up the clock on his game, and he will soon find that he has run himself out of time. He will soon see that he has backed himself into a corner, and time is up.
27 Behold, the name of the Lord comes from a remote place;
Isaiah 30:27-33
Burning is His anger and dense is His smoke;
His lips are filled with indignation
And His tongue is like a consuming fire;
28 His breath is like an overflowing torrent,
Which reaches to the neck,
To shake the nations back and forth in a sieve,
And to put in the jaws of the peoples the bridle which leads to ruin.29 You will have songs as in the night when you keep the festival,
And gladness of heart as when one marches to the sound of the flute,
To go to the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.
30 And the Lord will cause His voice of authority to be heard,
And the descending of His arm to be seen in fierce anger,
And in the flame of a consuming fire
In cloudburst, downpour and hailstones.
31 For at the voice of the Lord Assyria will be terrified,
When He strikes with the rod.
32 And every blow of the rod of punishment,
Which the Lord will lay on him,
Will be with the music of tambourines and lyres;
And in battles, brandishing weapons, He will fight them.
33 For Topheth has long been ready,
Indeed, it has been prepared for the king.
He has made it deep and large,
A pyre of fire with plenty of wood;
The breath of the Lord, like a torrent of brimstone, sets it afire.
The truth will resound. The truth will resound as a mighty trumpet, and all those with the enemy will be hemmed in, will be caught, will be found out, exposed and trapped. Their time is up. Watch as we take big leaps forward. Watch as the time runs out for the wicked. Their time is up. Their time is almost up. But My sheep are eternal. My sheep get to play the infinite game. My sheep live and walk with Me forever — for all of eternity. But the time for the wicked is up. Their 15 minutes of fame are up. My Name and My Glory is eternal. My fame goes on forever, and My banner over My people, the sheep of My pasture is love.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for leading us and for making Yourself, Your ways and Your voice known to us. Help me to follow You. Help me to change what I need to change to do well in this new place and time into which You are leading us. Thank You for running the clock out on the wicked.
- Declare, the Lord is leading us to a new way, a new day and a new time. The Lord is running the clock out on the wicked.
- Decree, I will follow the voice and leading of the Lord. I will adapt and I will become more like Him in the process. I will not cower in fear. I will boldly follow where the Lord leads me. And I will walk with Him into this new day where the wicked are no more.
