Today’s Reading:
Psalm 77
Psalm 78
Psalm 91
“Yet I could never forget all your miracles, my God, as I remember all your wonders of old. I ponder all you’ve done, Lord, musing on all your miracles. It’s here in your presence, in your sanctuary, where I learn more of your ways, for holiness is revealed in everything you do. Lord, you’re the one and only, the great and glorious God! Your display of wonders, miracles, and power makes the nations acknowledge you. By your glory-bursts you’ve rescued us over and over. Just ask the sons of Jacob or the sons of Joseph, and they will tell you! And all of us, your beloved ones, know that it’s true! Pause in his presence”
Psalms 77:11-15 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God of Truth says,
You can trust Me. You don’t have to white knuckle this crossing. Many will, for we are crossing over. But you can delight. You can skip and sing songs of great joy as we cross over on dry land. We will cross the great divide on dry land. I Am parting the divide. I Am making a way where no man could make a way. I’m causing the divide to pull back, to stand and obey. This is the second Red Sea Crossing. For many it will be a white-knuckled crossing — because of the shaking, because of the thundering walls of water on either side, because of the threatening sounds of horses’ hooves and chariot wheels at your back. But I’m alive among you. I Am making a way where no man could ever make a way without My help, without My power, without My words in his mouth.
“When the many waters of the Red Sea took one look at you, they were afraid and ran away to hide— trembling to its depths! Storm clouds filled with water high in the skies; cloudbursts and thunderclaps announced your approach. Lightning-flashes lit up the landscape. Rolling whirlwinds exploded with sonic booms of thunder, rumbling as the skies shouted out your story with light and sound and wind. Everything on earth shook and trembled as you drew near. Your steps formed a highway through the seas with footprints on a pathway no one even knew was there. You led your people forward by your loving hand, blessed by the leadership of Moses and Aaron.”
Psalms 77:16-20 TPT
Trust Me in this great crossing over. Be at peace, because you know how the story ends if you have read the story. I know the end from the beginning, and I saw fit to give you a great epic story to hang your faith on, to provide your faith with something of substance to cling to. What a beautiful testimony it is, what a beautiful testimony it was for millions. Will it not be so for you? Will I not do the very same for you? I Am no respecter of persons, and we shall overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Are not both provided for you? Pick them up. Wield them. Hold them fast in your heart, and speak them boldly from your lips. And it will be done for you. It will be likewise done for you.
“For perpetuity God’s ways will be passed down from one generation to the next, even to those not yet born. In this way, every generation will set its hope in God and not forget his wonderful works but keep his commandments. By following his ways they will break the past bondage of their fickle fathers, who were a stubborn, rebellious generation and whose spirits strayed from the eternal God. They refused to love him with all their hearts. Take, for example, the sons of Ephraim. Though they were all equipped warriors, each with weapons, when the battle began they retreated and ran away in fear. They didn’t really believe the promises of God; they refused to trust him and move forward in faith. They forgot his wonderful works and the miracles of the past, even their exodus from Egypt, the epic miracle of his might. They forgot the glories of his power at the place of passing over. God split the sea wide open, and the waters stood at attention on either side as the people passed on through!”
Psalms 78:3-13 TPT
This will be your Red Sea crossing. You get to choose if it is your white knuckle crossing or your crossing in faith, in bold, joy-filled confidence that your Savior, the Savior of all will yet save you again from the snare of the enemy and from the approaching enemy army at your back. Your mindset and heart posture is key. They will determine how you weather the storm, how you experience this monumental crossing. I have given you everything you need to enjoy the ride, delight in the journey and be the ones leading the procession in song, in worship, in dance and joyful shouting. This is the time of your Red Sea Crossing. You decide what that crossing over will be like.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord and stir up your most holy faith.
- Recount stories of the Lord’s faithfulness from the Scriptures and in your own life.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that Your joy is my strength. Thank You that You are empowering me and encouraging me with all I need for this great Red Sea Crossing. Remind me when I lean toward fear that You are with me, and You never leave me, never lose sight of me, never fail me and never forget me.
- Declare, my God is an awesome God He reigns from Heaven above with wisdom, power and love. My God is an awesome God. Nothing is too difficult for Him. He is the Ever-Victorious One.
- Decree, I will stir up my most holy faith. I will recount the faithfulness of the Lord. And I will walk forward in bold confidence, in joy and in hilarious delight at what the Lord is accomplishing on behalf of His people. I will be at the front of the procession, boldly reminding everyone of His great love and His faithfulness to us.
