Today’s Reading:
Romans 8
Ephesians 5

So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honorably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes. And don’t live foolishly for then you will have discernment to fully understand God’s will.

Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Structure, order and regimen — discipline is needed in this hour. Great discipline is needed. Just as the seasons changed from summer to fall, so does the required approach for this season change from more relaxed to more regimented, from more open to more structure. This is a time to carefully weigh your yes and your no.

All that he does in us is designed to make us a mature church for his pleasure, until we become a source of praise to him—glorious and radiant, beautiful and holy, without fault or flaw.

Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭27‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Be intentional, be purposeful, be methodical. Intention is key in this hour. These are not days for carelessness and flippancy, of half-in, half-out behavior or mindsets. These are days to move forward with bold purpose, with conviction and with confidence in the call that I have placed in your heart. Trust My voice. Trust My call. Trust your ability to discern. And move forward boldly. Drop the wavering. Drop the hesitation. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Time is too short for hand-wringing and apologizing for your own indecision.

So now every righteous requirement of the law can be fulfilled through the Anointed One living his life in us. And we are free to live, not according to our flesh, but by the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit! Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. But those who live by the impulses of the Holy Spirit are motivated to pursue spiritual realities. For the sense and reason of the flesh is death, but the mind-set controlled by the Spirit finds life and peace.

Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Does the ask, does the opportunity ring the bell of resonance in your heart or does it not? This is a time to walk by faith, not by sight. This is a time to trust your spiritual instincts and the sound of My voice, the physical sensations in your body that alert you to the spiritual reality. Does your heart shrink back with the feeling of wanting to run away — not in fear but in shielding your spirit from that particular presence, that particular spirit? Then say no. Does your spirit leap with joy and do somersaults inside of you? Does your imagination run wild with possibility? These are all physical responses to spiritual realities. Be aware of them. This is the very essence of trust your gut.

So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose. For he knew all about us before we were born and he destined us from the beginning to share the likeness of his Son. This means the Son is the oldest among a vast family of brothers and sisters who will become just like him. Having determined our destiny ahead of time, he called us to himself and transferred his perfect righteousness to everyone he called. And those who possess his perfect righteousness he co-glorified with his Son! So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us?

Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬-‭31‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Don’t waste time on things that cause your soul to shrink back in protective mode. Run forward in those areas that hit the resonance of your spirit and cause your heart to leap with joy. Discipline yourself in understanding the spiritual realities, and move forward in bold confidence, in faith — not by sight — to the days ahead of you. Trust and obey the voice of the Lord.

How to Respond

  • Make a plan to create more order, structure and discipline in your daily life.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You generously give wisdom when we ask for it. Give me wisdom in how to order my day, in how to prioritize the tasks and people and activities in my life. Help me to be intentional in all aspects of what I am doing and in every important relationship, so that I don’t miss the opportunities You have for me in this time. Help me to discern and say no to the invitations, people, opportunities and work that are not from You. Help me say yes to those that resonate with my spirit, those that cause my heart to leap and make my imagination run wild.
  • Declare, Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers. God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit.
  • Decree, I will let my yes be yes and my no be no. I will walk by faith, not by sight. I will trust in the voice of the Lord and my ability to discern. I will discipline myself to understand spiritual realities and respond accordingly. I will obey the prompting and instruction of the Lord. I will create structure and order in my life, because the season has changed and the season is calling for great discipline.
