Today’s Readings:
Psalm 125
Proverbs 14
Isaiah 40

125 Those who trust in the Lord are as unshakable,
as unmovable as mighty Mount Zion!
2 Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord’s wraparound presence
surrounds his people, protecting them now and forever.
3 The wicked will not always rule over the godly,
provoking them to do what is evil.

Psalm 125:1-3

The Lord says,
Keep your confidence in Me. Keep your eyes locked onto Me. Ability will not save you. Connections will not prosper you. A wise plan is one that is established in Me, with hope and trust in Me as its foundation.

Good plans without Me will fail. I cause My servants and My lovers to prosper. I bring the increase. I Am the Lord of the harvest. Some trust in horses, others trust in chariots, but you are to trust in the Lord your God. Keep your eyes on Me in the shaking. Keep your hope in Me as what you know crumbles around you. Stand firm. Stay in Me. Don’t lose hope. Don’t wander. Don’t let your eyes go astray. Stand and when all else is said and done, remain standing. You can do this by My strength, through the power of My love.

28 Don’t you know? Haven’t you been listening?
Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God,
the Creator of all you can see and imagine!
He never gets weary or worn out.
His intelligence is unlimited;
he is never puzzled over what to do!
29 He empowers the feeble
and infuses the powerless with increasing strength.
30 Even young people faint and get exhausted;
athletic ones may stumble and fall.
31 But those who wait for Yahweh’s grace
will experience divine strength.
They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles,
run their race without growing weary,
and walk through life without giving up.

Isaiah 40:28-31

Great is My faithfulness. Remind yourself of My faithfulness. And watch and learn about My faithfulness in new and fresh ways in this in- between season. Things are murky and the path forward is hard to see in this transition season, but cling to Me. Keep your eyes on Me, and you will not get lost in the spinning and the turning and the churning.

Don’t hang on to old ways of operating or fall back on old customs and habits. This is a time to reach for Me, and to reach out to Me for new strategies, new understanding, new methods and ways of operating.

26 Confidence and strength flood the hearts
of the lovers of God who live in awe of him,
and their devotion provides their children
with a place of shelter and security.
27 To worship God in wonder and awe
opens a fountain of life within you,
empowering you to escape death’s domain.

Proverbs 14:26-27

Even now the sun is rising on the new season. It won’t be long until this transition, this painful turning of the page is over. So hold tightly to what you know about Me, about My character. Hold loosely to everything else. Gaze upon Me and watch as the dawning of the new season brings light, clarifies the picture and spreads warmth and the light of understanding on what has been going on in this dark season and what it was for.

Cast your cares upon Me. Reach out to Me, and ask Me to fill your eyes and heart with hope and joy to sustain you today and bring you victoriously into tomorrow.

How to Respond

  • Build yourself up in the Lord, by singing, by filling your space and your heart with songs of worship, praise and reminding yourself of the Lord’s faithfulness.
  • Declare that the Lord is faithful, and He will cause you to prosper in dark times, in adversity and amidst pain.
  • Declare that the season of painful transition is closing and the new season is dawning.
  • Strengthen yourself in the Lord with scriptures and with declaring His promises to you and your family out loud.
