Proverbs 23
“Embrace the truth and hold it close. Don’t let go of wisdom, instruction, and life-giving understanding.”
Proverbs 23:23 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Truth. Firmly established, deeply implanted truth is in your heart and is in the earth. The truth is not fungible. The truth is the ultimate non-fungible token. Buy truth and do not sell it. The truth and wisdom are investments, not trading tokens. People trade in information and weaponize and commoditize information. But the truth is not to be sold for profit or for gain. The truth fortifies your holdings, your positions. It fortifies you and your household. Don’t make a mockery of truth by selling it for cheap. Truth is priceless. Give it to those who seek it. Don’t be one who guards closely and protects open source truth, open source information that should be widely shared. Don’t make a mockery of truth, and don’t hide it under a bushel. Prize it and wear it proudly.
“Stick with wisdom and she will stick to you, protecting you throughout your days. She will rescue all those who passionately listen to her voice. Wisdom is the most valuable commodity—so buy it! Revelation-knowledge is what you need—so invest in it! Wisdom will exalt you when you exalt her truth. She will lead you to honor and favor when you live your life by her insights. You will be adorned with beauty and grace, and wisdom’s glory will wrap itself around you, making you victorious in the race.”
Proverbs 4:6-9 TPT
The truth will come in like a flood. Do you want that flood to overtake all of those who have not purchased truth or seen a glimpse of truth? The knowledge of the truth will be a life preserver, a life vest, even a life raft in the incoming deluge and tidal waves of truth. Will you be one who withheld the truth? Who hid it in a vault? Will you be one who hides loyalties and is discreet in their beliefs and understanding, their knowledge of the truth? Don’t be a miser with the truth. Don’t be prideful about it, and don’t be ashamed by it. Don’t hide it, and don’t withhold it. Think of sharing the truth in the same way as throwing a life raft to someone on the sinking Titanic. You do them no favors by telling them it’s all going to be alright and proceeding to gab to them about senseless and mindless things like the weather. Throw them a life line of truth.
“My child, never drift off course from these two goals for your life: to walk in wisdom and to discover your purpose. Don’t ever forget how they empower you. For they strengthen you inside and out and inspire you to do what’s right; you will be energized and refreshed by the healing they bring. They give you living hope to guide you, and not one of life’s tests will cause you to stumble. You will sleep like a baby, safe and sound— your rest will be sweet and secure. You will not be subject to terror, for it will not terrify you. Nor will the disrespectful be able to push you aside, because God is your confidence in times of crisis, keeping your heart at rest in every situation.”
Proverbs 3:21-26 TPT
The deluge and tidal wave of truth is coming closer and faster now. It will hit when many least expect it. Don’t be one who withheld the truth, who withheld a life line, a life raft from those who could have weathered the storm a lot easier with one. Don’t commoditize truth. Don’t speak in quiet corners about truth. Speak the truth boldly and openly. You never know to whom you may be throwing a life raft just before the storm hits. Don’t let your loved ones, friends and neighbors be crushed by the waves, because you didn’t have the courage to say the truth. Speak the truth in love, because the truth IS love. It is love.
How to Respond
- Ask the Lord to show you who in your life needs to hear the truth, and ask Him what aspect of the truth to share.
- Pray, Lord, help me to be courageous, bold and kind. Help me to be one who does not withhold the truth that could have helped or saved someone from getting unexpectedly pummeled by the coming storm of truth. I want to be one who can honestly say that I said and did all that I could to equip people before the storm began.
- Declare, the truth is not fungible and it is not meant to be a commodity. It is an investment, a fortification and a protection. The deluge and the tidal wave of truth is coming. The Lord is sending it to cleanse the earth.
- Decree, I will speak the truth. I will not cower, hide or back down. I will be bold and courageous in speaking the truth, and my efforts will become a safeguard for many in the coming storm.
