Today’s Reading:
Nehemiah 6
Proverbs 3
6 Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, to Geshem the Arab and to the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall, and that no breach remained in it, although at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates, 2 then Sanballat and Geshem sent a message to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together at Chephirim in the plain of Ono.” But they were planning to harm me. 3 So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” 4 They sent messages to me four times in this manner, and I answered them in the same way.
Nehemiah 6:1-4
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Rise and shine. Rise up in your authority. Rise up in boldness, in courage and good humor. Be one of a different spirit. Be distinctively different. Be about your Father’s business, and don’t let the mockers, the naysayers and the brawlers distract you. Be one who has chosen a different path. Be one who hears My voice and walks boldly and confidently — taking each step as I direct. Be difference makers. Be ones about your Father’s business. Don’t be distracted or brought down by the noise, the negativity, the criticism and the petty infighting. Dismiss it all as kings. Dismiss it as one who does not have time for these lesser things.
9 For all of them were trying to frighten us, thinking, “They will become discouraged with the work and it will not be done.” But now, O God, strengthen my hands.
Nehemiah 6:9
I have called you to run, to be about your Father’s business. Why should you stop and be drawn off course by matters that are not your concern? Dismiss them, and move boldly forward on the path I have called you, drawn you, on the path I Am opening before you. What was just moments ago a brick wall became a dimly lit path. Now it is as if the noonday sun is shining on your path. It’s like this path has been here all along, but you can only see it clearly now. You can only travel on it boldly and with confidence now. I have set your feet on the path. I have removed the restrictions, and I have shone the light. This is now your well lit path. Own it. Run here. Skip like a delighted child here. Dance here. Do celebration dances here. Stop for family picnics here. This is your path. Walk in it. Delight in it. Rejoice in it. I have opened it before your eyes. Settle in.
“Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.”
Proverbs 3:5-8 TPT
I have made it a spacious and new path for you to run on. It is brand new. This is like the paths of the pioneers. Some parts you have to make up as you go along. Be willing to improvise. Be willing to create. This is the path of a builder, a pioneer. This is the path for one with an adventurous heart. Rise up in boldness. Shake off those former days. Shake off lingering uncertainty. Rejoice! What was very unclear before, what was imperceptible before is now your well lit path. Walk in it. Boldly own it. And brook no distractions or detractors here. This is your path. Walk in it.
How to Respond
- Trust in the Lord your God. Keep your eyes on Him.
- Pray, Lord, thank You for opening the path in front of me. Thank You for giving me a well lit path that has far overtaken the former uncertainty. Help me to walk boldly and confidently on this path, side by side with You.
- Declare, this is the path and the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in them.
- Decree, I will walk boldly and confidently in the assignments and this new path that the Lord has lit for me. I will not be intimidated, distracted or discouraged. I will strengthen and encourage myself in the Lord.
