Today’s Reading:
Luke 4
John 15
John 21

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed, To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”

Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
You are my chosen vessels to be a refuge and strength for the lost and the hurting. Care for them as I have cared for you. Show them My love. Be My love, and nurse them back, nurture them back to life and health. You are your brother’s keeper, and I have not just sent you out as sheep among wolves. I have sent you out in this time to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. This is the time where My true Church, My remnant Church becomes the hands and feet of the Almighty, reflects the light and love, compassion, authority and power of King Jesus.

Then Jesus asked him again, “Peter, son of Jonah, do you have great affection for me?” Peter was saddened by being asked the third time and said, “My Lord, you know everything. You know that I burn with love for you!” Jesus replied, “Then feed my lambs!”

John‬ ‭21‬:‭17‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Walk with those who are hurting. Take compassion on the sick, the downtrodden and the brokenhearted. May it be said of My Church that they saw the forgotten ones, they loved the lonely ones, they reached out to the abandoned, hurt and sick ones; and My love shone from them as warmly and as brightly as the sun.

These are days where the world is operating and will even more so be operating as every man or woman for themselves. Be ones who love my people. Feed my sheep. Feed my sheep. Feed my sheep.

“I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts. If you keep my commands, you will live in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands, for I continually live nourished and empowered by his love. My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness! “So this is my command: Love each other deeply, as much as I have loved you. For the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all. And this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends.”

John‬ ‭15‬:‭9‬-‭13‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This is a time to express the selflessness of Christ within you. In the shaking, the forgotten will feel even more lost, more alone and more forgotten. Be the hands that reach out with a heart of love. Leave the place of your comfort and protection and go to those who are hurting. This is the protected zone of My grace — with the outcasts. I Am with you, and I Am also with them. Be pure love. Be a trusted friend. Be a faithful one to them, because all others have failed them. And when they ask why, you tell them, “it’s because Jesus first loved me. I’m doing my best to act like My King.”

Love My people. Feed my sheep.

How to Respond

  • Ask the Lord to give you eyes to see who in your family or community He wants you to reach out to, because they need to feel His love.
  • Pray, Jesus, give me Your heart of compassion for those who are hurting, lost, broken, sick or alone near me. Help me to have eyes to see their pain and the love to minister to them as You would.
  • Declare, I love Jesus, so I will feed His sheep.
  • Decree, I will push past my routine and my discomfort to show love to those the Lord puts on my heart or plants in my path. I will see broken hearts come to life as I reach out a hand in love and reflect Jesus.
