Today’s Reading:
Psalm 27
Psalm 134
Song of Songs 6
Acts 16
The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me. At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing and praising the Lord with music.
Psalms 27:1, 5-6 NLT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
The enemy thinks he owns the night and has set the rhythm and the tone of the night, but I Am changing the melody. The beat and incessant thumping of self-seeking, self-serving, theft, drowning in sorrows, abuse and dirty deeds is fading. It’s being pushed out, and it is being replaced with Heavenly sounds, with healing sounds, with exposure, weeping and repentance sounds and sounds of pure joy for freedom.
Oh, praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, you who serve at night in the house of the Lord. Lift your hands toward the sanctuary, and praise the Lord. May the Lord, who made heaven and earth, bless you from Jerusalem.
Psalms 134:1-3 NLT
The rhythm of the night is changing. The sounds and the tones and the beats of the night are changing. What has run rampant in darkness is grinding to a halt. The trafficking and commerce done under cover of darkness to the sound of the enemy’s drum is being confronted by confusion, mixed messages and exposure. The light of Heaven and the work of angelic host is confusing the business of evil and darkness, and My people together with the angels are reversing and changing and overthrowing the sounds of the night with sounds of the light, hope, transformation, life and freedom.
Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!
Acts of the Apostles 16:25-26 NLT
The enemy does not own the night, nor does he get to set the tone and the rhythm, the beat or the sound of the night. Those who reign with Me, those who serve the King, those who harken to the Word of the Lord to do it, they will be the carriers of light and sound that transform the night, that overtake the night and bring safety, rest, peace and life where wickedness and darkness reigned.
Look at you now— arising as the dayspring of the dawn, fair as the shining moon, bright and brilliant as the sun in all its strength— astonishing to behold as a majestic army waving banners of victory.
Song of Songs 6:10 TPT
I’m changing the rhythm of the night, and I Am usurping the enemy to regain custody and My rightful ownership of the night with My saints who worship Me. With My warring worshippers and My angelic host, We are restoring, transforming and bringing life, hope, peace, safety, repentance and restoration of beauty to the night. The enemy is being evicted from his mob-like rule, his kingpin-style strong arming rule of the night. And the change and the overthrow starts with worship.
How to Respond
- Bless the Lord, and discipline yourself to live in an attitude of continual worship and thanksgiving.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Do Your work of usurping the enemy’s rule of the night. Change the rhythm, beat and sounds of the night. Restore peace, hope, faith, safety, light and life to the night hours. Give us strategy for warring through worship, thanksgiving and prophetic declarations.
- Declare, You own the day and the night. Sunlight and starlight call you Creator. — Psalms 74:16 TPT
- Decree, I will war in worship to overthrow the enemy’s rule of the night. I will not tolerate evil, wicked commerce, or venues and tools of self-destruction. The worship of the saints joined with the worship of the warring angelic host will overthrow the reign of the enemy in the night. Peace, repentance, rest and safety are our portion. The Lord Most High is the Lord of the night.
