Isaiah 33
Isaiah 56-57
56 Thus says the Lord,
Isaiah 56:1-2
“Preserve justice and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come
And My righteousness to be revealed.
2 “How blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who takes hold of it;
Who keeps from profaning the sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Grace for change. Change is incoming. That’s a fact and a fixed truth. Change is coming. I have given you grace to tread through this change in elegance and peace. My weighty peace will enrobe you as you walk as royalty through this time of great change. The terrain will change and the earth will shift and shake beneath your feet. Yet you will not scream, screech or panic. The weighty presence of My peace will center and hold and anchor you. You will be a fixed point, a stronghold of faith, courage and deep abiding peace, of vast and far reaching faith to which others can cling, look, and to whom they reach out for a hand. I will be the stability of YOUR times. And you will carry and be that stability for others — for those who don’t know Me as they could, as they will, as is available to them.
18 “I have seen his ways, but I will heal him;
Isaiah 57:18-20
I will lead him and restore comfort to him and to his mourners,
19 Creating the praise of the lips.
Peace, peace to him who is far and to him who is near,”
Says the Lord, “and I will heal him.”
20 But the wicked are like the tossing sea,
For it cannot be quiet,
And its waters toss up refuse and mud.
21 “There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”
The shaking is the awakening. The shaking changes the pieces on the chess board. The shaking changes the posture of the players, and the shaking gets the evil ones in a very reactive, cagey stance. At times it may feel like you are on a great ship that is dicily riding out massive, massive torrents and waves, rocking from side to side with no indication of when the the seas will calm. And you will experience days when you hit the eye of the storm and for days or even weeks, perhaps months, things seem to be stabilizing, re-grounding and calmed. But you will know in your heart of hearts that it ain’t over yet. And just as the enemy has settled into a newly trod pattern like mice in a maze, the shaking will begin again for a time equal to or shorter than the first shaking.
Those long with me will feel like old sailors and the ones newly with me will quickly get their sea legs. But those who have ground their feet into the dirt and muck and determined to stay with enemy, with the big lie, with the filthy ways of the old days, they will have nothing on which to cling. They will be tossed about even as the mud of their own actions flies up from the high seas and smacks them right in the face. Yet still they will not submit, retreat, repent.
19 You will no longer see a fierce people,
Isaiah 33:19-24
A people of unintelligible speech which no one comprehends,
Of a stammering tongue which no one understands.
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our appointed feasts;
Your eyes will see Jerusalem, an undisturbed habitation,
A tent which will not be folded;
Its stakes will never be pulled up,
Nor any of its cords be torn apart.
21 But there the majestic One, the Lord, will be for us
A place of rivers and wide canals
On which no boat with oars will go,
And on which no mighty ship will pass—
22 For the Lord is our judge,
The Lord is our lawgiver,
The Lord is our king;
He will save us—
23 Your tackle hangs slack;
It cannot hold the base of its mast firmly,
Nor spread out the sail.
Then the prey of an abundant spoil will be divided;
The lame will take the plunder.
24 And no resident will say, “I am sick”;
The people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity
You can weather both storms. It is all one storm, but it will be experienced as two. The second leg of this storm is like the outer bands of a hurricane, so it will be more volatile than the first. It will have more sudden power blasts than the first. Yet when it is over, it will be like a new spring day. Much debris will remain to be picked up, but you will see and know when it’s all over, when the shaking and the storm is done, that you have indeed reached a new day. That the old guard was wiped out, and the pure and true and right is here to stay. Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say rejoice. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Cling to Me. I will never let you go. I will never leave nor forsake you. Take heart, for I have overcome the world.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord, help me to get my life in the best possible order to weather the coming storm of change with grace and peace. I pray for my family, friends and neighbors who don’t know You — that they will come quickly to Your throne of grace and take hold of the promise and gift for which Jesus, the perfect Lamb of God paid in full. Help me to be so well positioned that I am stability for those who haven’t come to You yet. Help me be one who guides them to truth.
- Declare, change is coming as a great shaking for a great awakening.
- Decree, the great shaking will disturb, disrupt, dismantle and dislodge the enemy’s grasp on ALL areas of society. We will be set free, and the enemy will be repaid in full for all of the evil and oppression brought upon the land, the little ones and the lovers of God.
