Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 61
61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Isaiah 61:1-3
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
2 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
We are coming into days and a time where your feet will dance on the ashes of disappointment as you twirl and sing and celebrate the goodness of the Lord Your God. You will rejoice. You will rise up and sing. You will sing songs of thanksgiving, of overcoming, of victory and of the faithfulness of the Lord Your God. Disappointment will fall to the ground as ash, as dust, as an old wineskin that has fallen out of shape and out of use. And you will be filled with the new wine of My joy, the new wine of My favor, the new wine of My overflowing fulfillment and blessing. You will be filled, and your cup will overflow with gladness. Your heart will overflow with songs of praise, of giddy worship, of depths of gratitude and ecstatic joy that you have seldom known.
7 Instead of your shame you will have a double portion,
Isaiah 61:7-8
And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion.
Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land,
Everlasting joy will be theirs.
8 For I, the Lord, love justice,
I hate robbery in the burnt offering;
And I will faithfully give them their recompense
And make an everlasting covenant with them.
We are walking into days where your feet are ready to dance, your face is lit up with the light of a thousand suns, where you radiate the faith of one who has seen the hand of the Lord their God move in wonder and miraculous power on their behalf. You will walk as a highly favored one. You will stand with the confident assurance of a righteous king. You will dance on disappointment, and you will call others in to join you. You will draw others in, and they will celebrate with you. They will experience their own miracles, and their disappointment too will fall to the ground like a worthless old overused wineskin as their cup and their life gets to be overfilled with the new wine of My favor, of My abundant life, of ecstatic joy and their mouths and hearts overflow with praise. Faith will beget a chain of the shedding of old wineskins and dancing on the ashes of disappointment.
9 Then their offspring will be known among the nations,
Isaiah 61:9-11
And their descendants in the midst of the peoples.
All who see them will recognize them
Because they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed.10 I will rejoice greatly in the Lord,
My soul will exult in my God;
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
To spring up before all the nations.
Let your faith arise. Dance before fulfillment, and watch as that old wineskin falls off of you. Watch as your life is filled beyond the brim with the new wine of My justice, My favor, My miracle working power, and your life is infused with a strength of faith that has not been seen or felt before. I will become more real than anything you can see, taste or touch. I will be real to you, and you will dance with great faith into the days ahead. You will dance upon disappointment. That old identity will be shed, and the new your life will be lived like a cup continually overflowing.
How to Respond
- Go ahead and start dancing and worshipping.
- Pray, Lord thank You for seeing me. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your great kindness and Your heart of justice. Because of Your great love, I will shed the old wineskin of identifying with disappointment. I will become a new vessel that overflows with the abundance of new life, of favor, of fulfillment. I will become a rock of steadfast faith and unwavering trust in You.
- Declare, the Lord is moving in justice. He is breaking off disappointment and the identification with disappointment by His people.
- Decree, I will see and experience the Lord’s great move of breaking off disappointment and breaking through with fulfillment, new life, favor and abundance. I will receive a great infusion of faith and expectation of the miraculous. I will dance on the ashes of disappointment and sing great praises of thanksgiving and victory to the Lord my God.
