Today’s Reading:
Psalm 65
4 How blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near to You
Psalm 65:4
To dwell in Your courts.
We will be satisfied with the goodness of Your house,
Your holy temple.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
I desire truth in the innermost parts. I desire trust in the deepest parts. Trust in Me. Trust in My heart. Trust that My heart is with you and beats for you. Trust that I Am for you — not against you, nor ambivalent toward you. Trust that I have plans to launch you to destiny, to send you higher and farther than you could have ever imagined. Trust that the pain and the constriction you are now feeling and have felt for some time is Me pulling you back in a slingshot, and soon I will release you and launch you into accelerated destiny.
5 By awesome deeds You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation,
Psalm 65:5-8
You who are the trust of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea;
6 Who establishes the mountains by His strength,
Being girded with might;
7 Who stills the roaring of the seas,
The roaring of their waves,
And the tumult of the peoples.
8 They who dwell in the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs;
You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.
The pressure and the pain you have felt, the compacting of your life that you have felt was so that you can fly higher, more powerfully and farther than you could ever imagine. Trust in Me to launch you. Trust in Me to make your heart sing. Trust in Me — in My character and My Word. When I launch you, it will look to others like you are flying gracefully and elegantly, effortlessly to this new place. But it will feel every bit to you like you have been shot out of a cannon and have no control over where you land or what happens on the way. Of course I Am with you. I Am the one launching you, and I will get you safely and in one piece to the destination that I have in My heart. This is why trust is needed on your part — because when you are the one being launched, it feels shaky, sudden, powerful and as if you have no control. When indeed, the One who is launching you has already determined your trajectory, your speed and has aligned you with the destination.
11 You have crowned the year with Your bounty,
Psalm 65:9-13
And Your paths drip with fatness.
12 The pastures of the wilderness drip,
And the hills gird themselves with rejoicing.
13 The meadows are clothed with flocks
And the valleys are covered with grain;
They shout for joy, yes, they sing.
Hold on. This is a year of launching. This is a year of sudden and accelerated change. This is a year where you will be thrust from a comfortable position into the great, wide unknown. Yours is to trust and obey. Yours is to keep your heart anchored to Me. Yours is to worship, to abide in joy, peace and the delight of Me. You have desired change. You have desired launching. Well My dear one, it is here. This is the year and the season for launching.
How to Respond
- Put your trust and your hope in the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit, thank You for preparing me in the secret place for the launching You have determined for me. Help me to stay steadfast. Help me to remain in You regardless of the uncertainty, the shaking and the rapid change that comes. I know You are the One doing the launching. You are with me, and You are for me. Thank You Lord.
- Declare, this is a season and a year of launching people into destiny. The Lord has positioned people, and He will be launching them higher, faster and farther than they or anyone would have imagined.
- Decree, I will trust in the Lord — in His leading and launching, in His character, intentions and Word. I will be one who the Lord launches into unexpected destiny, and I will remain in Him.
