52 Wake up! Open your eyes!
Isaiah 52:1-3
Beautiful Zion, put on your majestic strength!
Jerusalem, the sacred city,
put on your glory garments!
Never again will the unclean enter your gates!
2 Arise and shake off your dust!
Sit enthroned, Jerusalem!
Break off your shackles of bondage from your neck,
you captive daughter of Zion!
3 For this is what Yahweh has to say:
“You were sold for nothing;
now you will be redeemed without any payment.”
The Lord says,
I’m waking things up and shaking things up. I’m creating awareness where there was once numbness or sleep or apathy. I’m stirring up passion and interest in things that were once overlooked or uninteresting. I’m causing blood to gush through veins and be stirred up about things that were not before given a second thought. I’m waking people up. I’m creating awareness and stirring up passions. I’m reviving people from long slumbers and renewing their pulse, their vitality and their vision.
I’m stirring them to action. I’m stirring them to speak up and out. I’m stirring them to rally, to rise, to stand and to champion the cause of truth. I’m waking the people up. They are beginning to see that what was once in black and white happening in the background is now in vivid color playing out in 3D before them. They see it, and they don’t deny it. They see it, and they are stirred, shaken, impassioned and angered. They want the truth. They know that the truth will set them free.
31 Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him, “When you continue to embrace all that I teach, you prove that you are my true followers. 32 For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives.”
John 8:31-36
33 Surprised by this, they said, “But we’re the descendants of Abraham and we’re already free. We’ve never been in bondage to anyone. How could you say that we will be released into more freedom?”
34 “I speak eternal truth,” Jesus said. “When you sin you are not free. You’ve become a slave in bondage to your sin. 35 And slaves have no permanent standing in a family, like a son does, for a son is a part of the family forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free from sin, then become a true son and be unquestionably free!
People are beginning to feel the limits of their freedom. People see the cages they have been made to sit quietly in, and they want out. The rally cry for truth is rising in volume and number. Soon it will be unable to be ignored. Even as the roar swells, so does the truth rise. The truth will sit tall and majestic, unmovable, undeniable for all to see. As the roar for freedom comes and hits its apex, breaking open the chains and the cages, the people will know that it was the truth that set them free. The roar for freedom brought truth, and the truth is what set them free.
5 At last we have freedom, for Christ has set us free! We must always cherish this truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.
Galatians 5:1
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No man can come to Me except through Jesus. We are the source of all truth and all life. There is no false way in Us. For those who love and desire truth, your heart will find rest and hope and home in Jesus. Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth. The gift of Holy Spirit brings the gift of discernment. Countless gifts come with pursuing and choosing, bowing before Jesus. Truth is but one. Discernment is another. Both are vital in this season. Humility is key. Repentance – changing your mind – is key. Worship is key. Saying yes to Jesus is key.
Jesus is inextricably linked to truth and freedom, the desire of many hearts in this hour. Watch how Jesus, truth and freedom cause this storyline to play out.
How to Respond
- Choose Jesus. Bring your heart, your failures, your sin and your most hidden places to Him. Offer them to Jesus and tell Him that you are sorry for the way you lived without Him. Tell Him that you believe that He is the sinless Son of God, born of a virgin who died to take away your sins, that He rose again to give you a new abundant life of freedom and communion with Him, that He alone restored the connection between God and man. Accept His gift of eternal life, of truth, and of freedom.
- Ask the Lord what He is waking up in your heart and what He would have you do with it.
- Declare that the Lord is moving on the people, and He is waking the people up to what is going on around them.
- Declare that the Lord is causing a groundswell and a great desire for truth and freedom.
- Declare that the Lord is causing truth to rise and we will see the truth set the people free.
