Today’s Readings:
Isaiah 54
Matthew 11:25-30
Mark 10:13-16
2 Corinthians 6

25 Then Jesus exclaimed, “Father, thank you, for you are Lord, the Supreme Ruler over heaven and earth! And you have hidden the great revelation of your authority from those who are proud and think they are wise and unveiled it instead to little children.

Matthew 11:25-26

The Lord says,
Feel My love touching your heart and spreading. Feel hope rising. Hear the sounds of spring and the sounds of a new day. Don’t conceal your joy. Wear it. Spread it. Go forth today in the contagious joy found in My Presence. Sit in My Presence. Dwell in My Presence. Tarry here for a little while. Drink your coffee with Me. Bear the contents of your heart to Me. Lighten your load. Entrust those burdens and aches to Me. Leave them in My capable, supernatural care. Go forth lighter. Go forth as light. Go forth with the spring in your step of a child and the confidence in Me that a child puts in their father. Go forth carefree and playful.

11-13 Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!

2 Corinthians 6:11-13

Allow your mind to pursue creative thoughts in your sanctified imagination. It’s time to dream big dreams again. It’s time to believe for the impossible again. It’s time to break off those adult created limitations and dream big, wild, unlimited dreams. It’s time to believe that your work has meaning and purpose again. It’s time to believe that the work you put your hands to is making a difference and is making progress toward that outrageous unlimited dream.

It’s time to make unexpected friends again and draw unassuming people into your circle for this big dream, for this outrageous goal. It’s time to act like a child again — in innocent, inclusive and wide-net friend-making; in terms of dreaming without limitations; and working as if you believe your work is making gains toward that wild, outrageous goal.

54 “Rejoice with singing, you barren one!
You who have never given birth,
burst into a song of joy and shout,
you who have never been in labor!
For the deserted wife will have more children
than the married one,” says Yahweh.
2 “Increase is coming, so enlarge your tent
and add extensions to your dwelling.
Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger.
3 You will increase and spread out in every direction.
Your sons and daughters will conquer nations
and revitalize desolate cities.
4 Do not fear, for your shame is no more.
Do not be embarrassed,
for you will not be disgraced.
You will forget the inadequacy you felt in your youth
and will no longer remember the shame of your widowhood.

Isaiah 54:1-4

Break off what is holding you back — fear, unbelief, negative words spoken over you. Take a bat to all of those, and demolish them once and for all. It’s time to dream and build and connect in innocence, in purity, from the depths of your being, from the innermost part of you.

It’s time to trust and to work, believe, hope and expect like a child again. It’s time to expect that your audacious dream will be accomplished. It’s time to have childlike faith again. It’s time to have freedom of soul like a child again — the freedom to dream and work and believe like a child again.

Your walls of unbelief don’t truly protect you. They only limit you. If you fail a little, so what? Keep going. You don’t need walls of unbelief to protect you from that. They protect you from every upside. They protect you from joy and the long lost sense of an unbridled dream. That’s no protection. That’s a limitation. That’s a cage. Break down those walls and truly dream again.

15 Listen to the truth I speak: Whoever does not open their arms to receive God’s kingdom like a teachable child will never enter it.”16 Then he embraced each child, and laying his hands on them, he lovingly blessed each one.

Mark 10:15-16

Set your soul afloat. Set it free to dream, to dance, to celebrate, to connect. You have kept it hidden and protected and bottled up for too long. Break it out, and see the joy you find in simple things again. You were set free, so be free. He who the Son sets free is free indeed, so live in that freedom.

Put aside the expectations of others, your cares about the opinions of others and just daydream again. Pursue true pure joy again. You will find a part of you that has been hidden for too long. Let it out. Be creative. Let the blank white paper of your imagination be limitless. Welcome many into your circle to dream with you, to dream like you — as one freed and approaching life with the innocence and purity of a child.

The days ahead are ones where many things believed to be impossible, many things that conventional wisdom told us were impossible will be reality. The impossible becoming possible will be the norm. You don’t have to wait until then. Learn how to think that way again now. Cast aside very limitation. Allow your heart to catch fire with passion for big dreams and for the impossible again.

How to Respond

  • Sit with the Lord and ask Him to help you see any limiting beliefs you have that are holding you back.
  • Hold these before the Lord and ask Him to replace those with His thoughts, His truth.
  • Set aside some time to daydream.
  • Ask the Lord to give spark to your imagination again.
  • Ask the Lord to bring unexpected, beautiful connections with new big dreamers, big thinkers, and big doers into your life.
  • Make a practice of disciplining your mind to be more open, more expectant of good. Be ruthless in tearing off limitations and believing for the impossible.
  • Declare, “the Lord is making the impossible happen today.”
