Today’s Readings:
Psalm 142-145
Isaiah 26
19 Your dead will live;
Isaiah 26:19
Their corpses will rise.
You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy,
For your dew is as the dew of the dawn,
And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.
The Lord says,
It’s Resurrection Season. Don’t get tired of hearing Me say it. Even now I Am watering the places that were assumed to be graves, and I Am breathing on dreams, hopes, ideas, relationships, aspirations and defeats. I Am breathing on these, reanimating these, and they are beginning to stir. They are beginning to rouse as if from a long slumber. They will explode onto the scene with vigor, with power, bursting the chains of death that bound them; and they will roar with a mighty lion’s roar and reestablish position, power and authority in the earth. This is not a small thing that I Am doing, and it will not happen quietly and for a few. This resurrection will be known by the roar that is heard around the world. The roar is one of victory, of overcoming, of breaking the chains and defeating the powers of darkness.
11 Lord, Your hand is lifted up, yet they do not see it.
Isaiah 26:11-13
They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame;
Indeed, fire will devour Your enemies.
12 Lord, You will establish peace for us,
Since You have also performed for us all our works.
13 Lord, our God, other masters besides You have ruled us;
But through You alone we confess Your name.
To the lions, this roar will be a great comfort, a great cause for rejoicing, a great miracle. To the hyenas though, it will be a most terrifying, most alarming reality. For this lion, this king of the jungle will rip those worthless, cackling predators who feed and survive on the success of others, who prey on those weaker than them — these he will rip to shreds. He will have no mercy. It will be a bloodbath for those scavengers who have no skills of their own, no ability to feed themselves outside of the efforts of others. This lion will fearsomely protect the efforts of others, and they will be able to retain the product of their own success. They will keep what they kill, and the food source of the hyenas will be dried up. Yet he will not relent. That will not be enough for him. He will hunt down every last one of them, and see that their justice is served in the presence of those whom they have tormented, threatened, mocked and stolen from. Justice will be served publicly; and the king of the jungle will rule again, bringing peace, security and great freedom to the kingdom.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
Isaiah 26:4-6
For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock.
5 For He has brought low those who dwell on high, the unassailable city;
He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He casts it to the dust.
6 The foot will trample it,
The feet of the poor, the steps of the helpless.”
This resurrection season will be a glorious, nearly unbelievable story of redemption, of right winning and of justice being served. The darkness doesn’t stand a chance. The king is rousing. I Am waking him now, and he will return with a vengeance like you have never seen — on behalf of himself, on behalf of the people, on behalf of the jungle, on behalf of those who love the jungle.
The king is rising and when he roars, the earth will shake, and the earth will know it. The earth will recognize his roar and the lines that have already been drawn. Hearts will be made public. It will be abundantly clear who are lions and who are hyenas. And he will silence the cackling laugh of those thieves, the hyenas.
How to Respond
- Trust that the Lord is doing what He said He would do.
- Read and pray Psalms 142-145 aloud.
- Declare, I am on the side of the Lord, on the side of right and on the side of truth.
- Declare, the Lord is releasing justice and vengeance to restore security, truth, righteous order and honor to the land.
- Decree, the darkness will tremble when it hears the mighty roar that is coming. The darkness stands no chance against the Lord and His anointed.
- Mediate on stories of unlikely redemption in your own life and in the Bible. Lean on them to build up faith for the great redemption the Lord is bringing.
