Today’s Readings:
Isaiah 52
Psalm 111
2 Shake yourself from the dust, rise up,
Isaiah 52:2-3
O captive Jerusalem;
Loose yourself from the chains around your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion.
3 For thus says the Lord, “You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed without money.”
The Lord says,
It’s time to lighten up. It’s time to loosen up. It’s time to stop holding on so tightly. It’s time to stop gripping the now for dear life. It’s time to flow with Me. Flow with Me into the new. Flow with Me into lighter days — days of ease, days of safety, days where people have great reverence and respect for Me, for My Name and for each other. Flow with Me into the new where life is uncertain but glorious, and adventure lurks around every corner.
8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices,
Isaiah 52:8
They shout joyfully together;
For they will see with their own eyes
When the Lord restores Zion.
Flow with Me to new days where true worshippers worship in spirit and in truth, with spontaneity and passion that causes people to bow, weep and repent without any words having been sung. Flow with Me to that place. Loosen your grip from the now, and allow Me to transition you to bright, uncertain but secure days — where purity and innocence are, where you can trust the kindness of strangers, and where people know who they are. Let me take you to those days. Flow with Me there. Let go of the now, the immediate, the news, the worries, and allow Me to cause it to all fade away.
7 The works of His hands are truth and justice;
Psalm 111:7-9
All His precepts are sure.
8 They are upheld forever and ever;
They are performed in truth and uprightness.
9 He has sent redemption to His people;
He has ordained His covenant forever;
Holy and awesome is His name.
Be open to the new, to adventure, to the unknown. That’s where we are going. The air is lighter there. The sun is brighter there. Your heart can soar again there. You have freedom to laugh again there, and there’s no bitterness or sorrowful edges to your laughter there. It’s pure and sweet, full of delight and wonder. This is the new day and the new place I Am bringing you.
How to Respond
- Rest in the Lord. Let go of fear, worry, doubt and unbelief. Just relax.
- Acknowledge God’s lordship and sovereignty. He is all-powerful and more than able. He is the Creator of Heaven and Earth. Nothing is too difficult for Him. Nothing is beyond His ability, concern or resources.
- Declare, the Lord is all-powerful, and He will do what He wants to do. He will turn the page on this chapter and bring us into a new place and a new day where righteous order is the established order, where justice, honor, truth and love are trustworthy pillars of society, where we can live in freedom and the unceasing flow of His grace.
- Decree, the new day and the new place belongs to us. The Lord will bring them as a great gift because He loves us, and because He said He would do it. We welcome this new day and new place. We relinquish control and our tight grip on today. Instead we choose to flow with Holy Spirit into the new day and the new place He has prepared for us.
