Today’s Readings:
Isaiah 42
Psalm 84
14 For a long time I have held my peace;
Isaiah 42:14-16
I have kept still and restrained myself;
now I will cry out like a woman in labor;
I will gasp and pant.
15 I will lay waste mountains and hills,
and dry up all their vegetation;
I will turn the rivers into islands,
and dry up the pools.
16 And I will lead the blind
in a way that they do not know,
in paths that they have not known
I will guide them.
I will turn the darkness before them into light,
the rough places into level ground.
These are the things I do,
and I do not forsake them.
The Lord says,
This is a spring of hope, change and love. This is a spring of major shifts — tectonic shifts. This is a spring of leaps, acceleration and launches. This is a spring of change. Position yourself for change. Position yourself for flexibility and for running at top speed. It will not be a gradual acceleration. It will be like you are launched toward destiny from a catapult. It will be sudden, unstoppable and with no way to slow down or turn back. This is a time of launching high and far. This is the time of crossing vast distances in little time. This is a time of which it will be said that things happened suddenly, in an instant and in the blink of an eye.
9 Behold, the former things have come to pass,
Isaiah 42:9
and new things I now declare;
before they spring forth
I tell you of them.”
This season will lead to dramatic change in your life. You can already sense it. Change is drawing near, and it is upon you. Make any preparations you can. It will arrive with a premonition of change but without express warning. It will come suddenly and decisively. In this time of great uncertainty, know this — change is certain. It is barreling forward with the force of a mighty freight train carrying a full load.
5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
Psalm 84:5-7
in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
6 As they go through the Valley of Baca
they make it a place of springs;
the early rain also covers it with pools.
7 They go from strength to strength;
each one appears before God in Zion.
You will be able to leap farther, jump higher and do more than you ever thought possible. My grace is on your change. Don’t dig your heels in. Don’t try to avoid it, hide from it or delay it. This is the change you need. This change is bringing you into destiny, and there are more destinies that are connected to it. So be about Your Father’s business. Be correctly positioned. Be poised and ready for this change. My grace will cause you to move great distances in this change with little effort. My grace will give you the joy, capacity and ability to do it.
5 Thus says God, the Lord,
Isaiah 42:5-7
who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and what comes from it,
who gives breath to the people on it
and spirit to those who walk in it:
6 “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you as a covenant for the people,
a light for the nations,
7 to open the eyes that are blind,
to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
from the prison those who sit in darkness.
Don’t hesitate, and don’t spend much time trying to gauge if it is possible. I Am thrusting this change upon you. I will make it possible. You are not doing this on your own. Remember this question, “did you come up with this change on your own?” No, certainly not. That question will serve as an important home base when things start looking impossible. You didn’t initiate this, and you can’t make it happen on your own. I initiated it. I stirred it in your heart and ignited the catalyst for change. Walk with Me, and I will enable you, equip you, connect you and propel you.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
Psalm 84:11-12
the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts,
blessed is the one who trusts in you!
This is not a lone soldier assignment. This is a partnership with Me, and I’m bringing community to it. If you try and walk it out alone, it will cause you heartache and stress; and you will stumble. Stick close to Me. Seek My voice, My wisdom, My guidance, My partnership. Watch how I bring things together that you could not have manufactured in a million years. It’s going to be great fun. It’s going to be a wild ride. It’s going to be a time of unprecedented achievement in partnership with Me. Get off the sidelines. Get your house in order, because I will trigger change. It is coming your way.
How to Respond
- Daydream with the Lord about what’s in your heart. Ask Him what steps you can take to position yourself well for the coming personal change.
- Talk to your friends and family about the dreams of your heart. See what happens.
- Declare, the Lord is bringing change that will be a catalyst to my destiny. I am aligned with Him, and nothing can stand in the way of the good things He has for me.
- Declare, the Lord is with me and wants to partner with me in a change that has many purposes beyond me. I will stick close with Him and trust that He is good, He is for me and He will set the path before me.
