Today’s Reading:
Psalm 23
“Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me the right path and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name.”
Psalms 23:1-3 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Fear not. Do not be afraid. I will strengthen you. I will empower and embolden your lips. Am I not your good shepherd, your counselor, your Mighty God? Whom or what shall you fear? Will I not protect you, guide you, provide for you, establish you and cause you to succeed? I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness. Whom or what shall you fear?
I Am your provision and your reward. I Am your portion, your fortress and the one who shields you from harm. The fiery darts of the enemy cannot get past My shield and My armor. Why do it in your own strength? I Am the Lord your God. I Am your protector, provider and your reward. Will I not stand for you? Will I not guide you in paths of righteousness? Why do you make life to be so hard? Think of the sheep. They don’t spin out in anxiety or wring their hands with worry. They simply follow their master and listen for His voice. I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.
“Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near.”
Psalms 23:4 TPT
Do not be afraid. Whom or what shall you fear? Your God is a strong tower. Your God is Creator of the Heavens and the Earth. Your God laid down His life, His Son so that you might live. What will I then withhold from you? I have laid down My very life, My very treasured only Son for you. Whom or what shall you fear? There is no privation for those who are in Christ Jesus. My storehouses don’t run dry. My goodness never runs out. Fear thou not, and do not be dismayed. I will strengthen you, and I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.
I will guide you through the thicket. I will walk with you through the fields of uncertainty and doubt. I will hold your hand and bring you into brighter days. Trust in Me. Trust in My goodness. Trust in My promises and My follow through. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will strengthen you. I will protect you and provide for you.
“You become my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; you give me all I can drink of you until my cup overflows. So why would I fear the future? Only goodness and tender love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you!”
Psalms 23:5-6 TPT
I will not withhold nor have I ever withheld any good thing from you. You are My heart’s desire. You are the apple of My eye. You are My treasure and My reward. Abide in Me, and I will abide in you. Join your heart and your hand to Mine, and see how far we go. I will strengthen you. I will provide for you. I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness. Can you feel the gentle breeze of My love blowing on your face? Look to Me. I will not abandon you or lead you to a place of lack, failure or disgrace. I Am with you. I Am for you, and I will uphold you with the right of My righteousness.
How to Respond
- Lay your fears, worries, anxiety and concern before the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit help me. Help me to let go of these worries, anxiety, concerns and fear that I have been gripping so tightly. Help me to let go of them, so I can hold Your hand and walk with You in peace, in grace, in love and in the security of Your Presence. Thank You for being steadfast, reliable, for loving me and never leaving or forsaking me. Thank You for the ultimate sacrifice of Your only Son, Jesus, whose life, death and resurrection made the way for me to be reunited with You. Help me to let go of all that I cannot control and walk faithfully and in obedience to the sound of Your voice. You are so good. You are so faithful. You are the one I can trust Lord. Thank You.
- Declare, I am leaving my worries, fear, anxiety and concerns with the Lord. He is trustworthy, faithful and more than able. Nothing that I face is beyond His reach, concern, ability, resources or timeline.
- Decree, I will trust the Lord and follow where He leads.
- Decree Psalm 23, “Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me the right path and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name.
