Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 8:9-22
Last night I had a very short dream where my mom was pointing to a portion of Isaiah 8 in my Bible. When I woke up this morning I read the chapter and was surprised to see that certain verses were highlighted exactly as they were in the dream. I asked the Lord what He wanted me to understand about this. The word below is what I heard in response. I added the verses in afterward, as I always do for my own confirmation of the word and to bring Biblical grounding to the post.
11 For thus the Lord spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,
Isaiah 8:11-13
12 “You are not to say, ‘It is a conspiracy!’
In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy,
And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.
13 “It is the Lord of hosts whom you should regard as holy.
And He shall be your fear,
And He shall be your dread.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
A time is coming and is now upon us when the children of light and the children of darkness are exposed. This is a time to take your stand. This is a time where the lovers of God must take their stand. This is a time where those of darkness will be exposed, and in their exposure they will have no shame. They will beat their chests and lift their chins in defiance of the people and in defiance of the living God of Israel. These ones who are steeped and covered and dripping with deep darkness will rise up, and they will fight openly. They will try to draw men and women, boys and girls into their darkness openly.
18 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion. 19 When they say to you, “Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter,” should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.
Isaiah 8:18-20
Theirs is no longer a shadow campaign. It is coming out into the open, and the world will experience a great tear, a great ripping. The fabric of society will be torn in two as as the lovers of God, the undecided and the ignorant are all astonished at the depth of depravity that has been hiding in plain sight. They will be astonished at the level of warfare that had been waging against them without their knowledge.
21 They will pass through the land hard-pressed and famished, and it will turn out that when they are hungry, they will be enraged and curse their king and their God as they face upward. 22 Then they will look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be driven away into darkness.
Isaiah 8:21-22
These dark ones will rise up. They will lift themselves up, and they will not go down without a fight. The time of the dividing is here. The time of the exposure is here. The time of choosing sides is here. Ignorance, complacency and the middle of the road have no place here. Choose this day whom you will serve.
How to Respond
Make these decrees:
- As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. – Joshua 24:15b
- [We are] fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. – Hebrews 12:2
- Therefore everyone who hears these words of [Jesus] and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26 Everyone who hears these words of [Jesus] and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.” – Matthew 7:24-27
- There is salvation in no one [except Jesus]; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved. – Acts 4:12
- He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet receives a prophet’s reward. – Matthew 10:41a
- He who believes [in the Lord Jesus] will have eternal life. – John 6:47
- Worship is a weapon. Thanksgiving is a weapon. Remember the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty for the taking down of strongholds. – 2 Corinthians 10:4
