Isaiah 33
Isaiah 60
60 “Arise, shine; for your light has come,
Isaiah 60:1-2
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Don’t be brought down by bad news and wickedness. Don’t be tormented by evil. Rise and shine in its midst. I have made you to shine brighter in the darkness. I have made you to rise above the rancor, chaos, turmoil, bad news, anxiety, stress and swirl caused by evil. You are to be one of a different spirit. You are to be one who shines brightly and powerfully, strongly and confidently in the darkness. You are on the side of the Lord. Whom or what shall you fear?
Don’t let the evil bring you down. Rise up above it. For as dark as the darkness gets, your light shines that much brighter. And as wicked as their deeds are, so they will be repaid. Seven-fold. Not only will they be repaid, but you will be repaid seven-fold because of their wickedness, because you endured, you rose up, you shined. You were obedient when things looked their grimmest, their darkest, their most impossible. You will be rewarded seven-fold more for your obedience amidst the darkness.
19 “No longer will you have the sun for light by day,
Isaiah 60:19-22
Nor for brightness will the moon give you light;
But you will have the Lord for an everlasting light,
And your God for your glory.
20 “Your sun will no longer set,
Nor will your moon wane;
For you will have the Lord for an everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning will be over.
21 “Then all your people will be righteous;
They will possess the land forever,
The branch of My planting,
The work of My hands,
That I may be glorified.
22 “The smallest one will become a clan,
And the least one a mighty nation.
I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.”
The headwinds are strong, and they are many. But I have made you as a firmly driven pillar of light, of truth, of stubborn obedience, with no acquiescence to evil. So stand up. Rise up. Tune out the evil. Tune out the chaos and the distractions, the noise, the cacophony of vile spewing things, and shine as bright as the Sun. Let your light so shine that the light and the heat and the purity of your fire burns up the wickedness in your presence. Don’t just be a bright light. Erupt into flames of passion for Me, and burn with an intensity that the world has not experienced by my lovers before. Burn, burn, burn and the flames of your passion will consume, will eliminate the wickedness before you. It is time to rise up and shine with fiery flames of passion that destroy, consume and completely erase the works of evil before your very eyes.
14 Sinners in Zion are terrified;
Isaiah 33:14-17
Trembling has seized the godless.
“Who among us can live with the consuming fire?
Who among us can live with continual burning?”
15 He who walks righteously and speaks with sincerity,
He who rejects unjust gain
And shakes his hands so that they hold no bribe;
He who stops his ears from hearing about bloodshed
And shuts his eyes from looking upon evil;
16 He will dwell on the heights,
His refuge will be the impregnable rock;
His bread will be given him,
His water will be sure.
17 Your eyes will see the King in His beauty;
They will behold a far-distant land.
These are days of power, of fire, of bright shining light that dispels darkness in a way that horrifies and astonishes the enemy and those with him. You will be my blazing flames of glory. If you stand, if you withstand, if you rise, shine and erupt with burning flames of passion in this hour, you will be remembered. Your name will be written in My Book of Passion, and you will reap a seven-fold reward.
How to Respond
- Sit before the Lord and ask Him for a picture of what radical obedience looks like for you in this hour.
- Pray, Lord, come. Strengthen me. Help me to be so firmly planted and to shine so brightly that I erupt into a fiery blaze of purity and passion for you that dispels darkness and destroys and erases even the memory of the evil we have seen and experienced. I want my name to be written in Your Book of Passion, and I want to make a difference in a world filled with so much darkness, evil and chaos. Help me to stand, withstand, shine and burn with fiery hot passion never seen before.
- Declare, the burning ones of the Lord are arising and we will dispel, frighten and erase darkness and evil from our midst.
- Decree, the hour of the burning ones who shine with the light of the Glory of the Lord has come. It is here. It is now. Darkness must flee. Evil must bow and succumb to destruction.
