Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 11-14
11 Then it will happen on that day that the Lord
Isaiah 11:11-13
Will again recover the second time with His hand
The remnant of His people, who will remain,
From Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath,
And from the islands of the sea.
12 And He will lift up a standard for the nations
And assemble the banished ones of Israel,
And will gather the dispersed of Judah
From the four corners of the earth.
13 Then the jealousy of Ephraim will depart,
And those who harass Judah will be cut off;
Ephraim will not be jealous of Judah,
And Judah will not harass Ephraim.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
I’m opening up the waters. It’s time for the Exodus. It’s time to leave Egypt and your slave masters and task masters behind. It’s time for freedom. I’m opening up the waters. I Am parting the Red Sea. It’s time to cross on dry ground. It’s time to feel the waters stirring as walls on either side of you. It’s time to hear the roar of Pharaoh’s army at your back. It’s time to cross over. The time of the cross over is here. The time of leaving Pharaoh and false systems of abuse and slavery behind is here. It’s time to leave Egypt.
19 And Babylon, the beauty of kingdoms, the glory of the Chaldeans’ pride, Will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
Isaiah 13:19-22
20 It will never be inhabited or lived in from generation to generation; Nor will the Arab pitch his tent there,
Nor will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.
21 But desert creatures will lie down there,
And their houses will be full of owls;
Ostriches also will live there, and shaggy goats will frolic there.
22 Hyenas will howl in their fortified towers
And jackals in their luxurious palaces.
Her fateful time also will soon come
And her days will not be prolonged.
It’s time to leave Babylon too. It’s time to leave the influence of Babylon behind. This is a new Exodus. Babylon’s cultic practices have woven their way into your midst. Babylon’s mindsets, lies and perversions are festering among you, but it’s time to shed those and leave them behind too. This is a crossing out of Egypt and a shedding of the ways of Babylon. This is a new time, a new era and a new way. We are entering a totally new landscape, a totally new life, a totally new way. Egypt and Babylon have no place here. The mindset and the practices of slavery and the occult have no place here. You must shed those on the Red Sea floor. Cause them, allow them to drop off of you even as you proceed into the new day. Shake off those slave mindsets. Shake off those Babylonians ways, lies and filthy practices. They have no place in the new land. They have no place in the new day. Allow them to be consumed by the fierce waters behind you.
15 And the Lord will utterly destroy
Isaiah 11:15-16
The tongue of the Sea of Egypt;
And He will wave His hand over the River
With His scorching wind;
And He will strike it into seven streams
And make men walk over dry-shod.
16 And there will be a highway from Assyria
For the remnant of His people who will be left,
Just as there was for Israel
In the day that they came up out of the land of Egypt.
The day of Egypt’s judgement has come. The day of Babylon’s judgement has come. They will both be publicly judged and destroyed at the bottom of the Red Sea. Babylon’s day has come. Egypt’s day of reckoning has come. Don’t cling to your taskmasters and to abusive systems. It’s time to leave this place. Don’t try to bring these ways, these evil ones, these systems with you. Your clinging to them will lead to your own destruction. You must walk freely into freedom. Their day has come. Your day of victory and freedom has come. Be steely-eyed in your obedience. Leave Egypt and Babylon behind.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord with your all of your mind, heart, soul and strength.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Guide me. Show me. Help me to move and obey at Your word. I don’t want to cling to Egypt or Babylon. I want to walk freely into freedom with You. Show me what to do, how to prepare, and I will do it. Thank You Lord for having a plan to set us free. We need You Lord.
- Declare, the Lord’s timing is perfect. His ways are perfect. His plans are perfect, and they will bring us to freedom and great victory.
- Decree, I will follow the Lord’s lead and walk freely into freedom. I will see the armies of Pharaoh, the systems of Pharaoh and the culture and practices of Babylon swallowed and destroyed the judgement of the Lord in the Red Sea. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. And we will walk into the new place, the new day and the new way He has prepared for us. I am willingly and happily leaving Egypt and Babylon behind.
