Today’s Reading:
1 Peter 1
1 Peter 2
“You are not forgotten, for you have been chosen and destined by Father God. The Holy Spirit has set you apart to be God’s holy ones, obedient followers of Jesus Christ who have been gloriously sprinkled with his blood. May God’s delightful grace and peace cascade over you many times over! Celebrate with praises the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has shown us his extravagant mercy. For his fountain of mercy has given us a new life—we are reborn to experience a living, energetic hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We are reborn into a perfect inheritance that can never perish, never be defiled, and never diminish. It is promised and preserved forever in the heavenly realm for you!”
1 Peter 1:2-4 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Dance on revival wells. I own the deep. I own the deep waters where the Leviathan hides and lurks. And I own the deep places from where the revival wells come. I own the deep dark and the deep light. I own it all. I Am calling you to occupy the deep. Occupy the deep places where darkness lives. You are to be soldiers who occupy, who declare what is allowed to remain and what must have no place. You are to guard the deep places and force the gates of hell that cover them to flee. You are My guardians of the deep. It’s time to occupy the deep places.
“They keep stumbling over the message because they refuse to believe it. And this they were destined to do. But you are God’s chosen treasure —priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. For at one time you were not God’s people, but now you are. At one time you knew nothing of God’s mercy, because you hadn’t received it yet, but now you are drenched with it!”
1 Peter 2:8-10 TPT
I have called you to be guardians of the deep darkness and of the deep light. You can have one foot on the deep territories where darkness has dwelled and the other on a revival well. You are to occupy and live in and be constantly filled with the flow of revival from the deep, abundant wellsprings of revival. Let revival waters be your refreshing, your constant refreshing. Because the places of the deep I Am calling you to occupy have been dark for a long time, and they are dark still. You know what turns dark to light? Overflowing praise. Gushing waters of revival. A spirit of joy, worship and celebration. This is a call to be vigilant at your post over the deep. This is a call to shout down the gates of hell with a command that it can not only encroach no further but that you are pushing it back until it falls off the ends of the earth. Hell fills a vacuum. You are called to occupy this space of deep darkness. You are called to force hell back until it disappears from the scene. You are called to dance upon the darkness as you dance on great old wellsprings of revival. Your revival dancing, your revival singing, your revival declarations, worship, honor and overflowing praise will change the complexion of darkness and transform it into glorious light.
“My divinely loved friends, since you are resident aliens and foreigners in this world, I appeal to you to divorce yourselves from the evil desires that wage war within you. Live honorable lives as you mix with unbelievers, even though they accuse you of being evildoers. For they will see your beautiful works and have a reason to glorify God in the day he visits us.”
1 Peter 2:11-12 TPT
I have called you to occupy the deep — the deep darkness and the deep wellsprings of revival. You are the soldiers of occupation, the guardians of the deep. You are the reformers who bring My revival waters, My revival wells, My brilliant, undeniable, unmistakable revival light to the places that have been long occupied by hell. This is the takeover. This is the the overthrow. We are overthrowing darkness with light. We are overthrowing hell with revival. And the darkness will be chased out along with the gates of hell. The darkness will not comprehend the light. It will not withstand revival light.
How to Respond
- Stir up revival in your own heart. Spend time in worship, thanksgiving and praise. Make declarations of the Word of the Lord. Pull Heaven down to Earth.
- Pray, Lord, thank You for giving us the keys — the authority and the power — to overthrow hell on Earth. Help me to be vigilant at my station over the deep darkness. And help me to be one who is constantly being filled and refilled and overflowing with personal revival that chases out darkness and hell from my place of occupation.
- Declare, the Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness therein. He owns the places of deep darkness, and He owns the places of deep light. Nothing is out of His reach.
- Decree, I will stand at my post faithfully with one foot on the deep darkness that the Lord has called me to be a guardian over and with one foot on a deep well of revival. I will occupy, and I will be such a vessel of overflowing revival that darkness will flee. I am part of the overtaking and the overthrowing of darkness. I am a reformer who brings the Lord’s brilliant revival light.
