Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 55
“Ho! Every one who thirsts, come to the waters;
Isaiah 55:1-5 NASB 1995
And you who have no [a]money come, buy and eat.
Come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without cost.
2 “Why do you [b]spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And delight yourself in abundance.
3 “Incline your ear and come to Me.
Listen, that [c]you may live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
According to the faithful mercies [d]shown to David.
4 “Behold, I have made him a witness to the peoples,
A leader and commander for the peoples.
5 “Behold, you will call a nation you do not know,
And a nation which knows you not will run to you,
Because of the Lord your God, even the Holy One of Israel;
For He has glorified you.”
The Spirit of the Living God says,
Trust in Me. Take My hand. It is stretched out to you. My grace is flowing out to you like an ocean tide that does not retreat. From Me is a constant, unceasing flow of grace. It’s for you to utilize. It’s to move you forward, step by step, moment by moment, task by task, conversation by conversation. Do you believe that I will direct your path? Do you believe that I have been? Why do you doubt Me? Why do you doubt My goodness, my willingness, My ability, My faithfulness? I have never left you nor forsaken you. I have never let you down, and I won’t start now.
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
Isaiah 55:10-13 NASB 1995
And do not return there without watering the earth
And making it bear and sprout,
And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
12 “For you will go out with joy
And be led forth with peace;
The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you,
And all the trees of the field will clap their hands.
13 “Instead of the thorn bush the cypress will come up,
And instead of the nettle the myrtle will come up,
And [e]it will be a [f]memorial to the Lord,
For an everlasting sign which will not be cut off.”
Trust My flow of constant grace to get you where you are going. Trust the outpouring of My love to manifest love in your life, to manifest wonderful, delightful, praiseworthy things in your life. I Am the source and your foundation. In Me there is no shifting shadow. In Me there is no sinking sand. My grace is sufficient for you. It is flowing out constantly from Me. You can’t miss it. If you are walking by My side, if you are seeking My ways and My heart, you cannot miss My grace. Just take My hand. I will walk you forward. I will guide you and get you there in My unceasing lavish grace. Walk forward hand in hand with Me.
6 Seek the Lord while He may be found;
Isaiah 55:6-9 NASB 1995
Call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Let My grace and love flow into you. Open yourself up. Position yourself to be an ongoing recipient, a continually open vessel. You must open yourself up to receive. Don’t fight My flow. Don’t reject My flow because you think you are unworthy, or that this is just too good to be true. In faith, just open yourself up, open your heart and your mind and your life up to receive the constant flow of My grace and love. I Am the fount of every blessing. Position yourself to receive. Just receive.
How to Respond
- Stir up your faith. Make a decision to trust the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for pouring out Your love and grace so lavishly and unceasingly. Give me eyes to see and believe. I want to walk hand in hand with You. I want to seek Your ways and Your Kingdom. Help me to abandon every other path that has not been designated and marked out by You. Help me to open my eyes and heart and mind of faith, so I can be in receiving mode and not miss anything You have for me.
- Declare, Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. He is the fount of every blessing. He is the one in whom there is no shifting shadow. I can build my life upon Him, and my life will be secure. He is absolutely good. He is the Father of Heavenly lights from whom every good and perfect gift flows. I can trust Him with my heart, my life and my future.
- Decree, I will take the outstretched hand of the Lord. I will walk side by side with Him. I open my eyes, heart and mind of faith to believe that His grace and love are constantly flowing toward me. I am positioning myself to be in receiving mode, so I don’t miss anything He has for me.
