Today’s Reading:
Joel 2
Matthew 13

”Do not fear, O land, rejoice and be glad, For the Lord has done great things. Do not fear, beasts of the field, For the pastures of the wilderness have turned green, For the tree has borne its fruit, The fig tree and the vine have yielded in full. So rejoice, O sons of Zion, And be glad in the Lord your God; For He has given you the early rain for your vindication. And He has poured down for you the rain, The early and latter rain as before.“

Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭21‬-‭23‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

The Spirit of the Living God says,
The chapter is turning from one of lack, sorrow, hardship and travail, and the new page will set your focus on My goodness, My provision, My nearness and My abundance. I Am replacing, recovering the years that the locusts have eaten — the swarming locusts, the creeping locusts, the stripping locusts and the gnawing locusts. You have found them gnawing at your life, taking what is yours, causing more heartache, more work and dipping into My provision. But justice is here for what the locusts have wrought. Justice is here for the heartache and despair. Turnaround is here for the heaviness, the waiting and pain. Today is your day of justice.

”The threshing floors will be full of grain, And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil. “Then I will make up to you for the years That the swarming locust has eaten, The creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; Then My people will never be put to shame.“

Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬-‭26‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

The chapter has turned, and those days of privation, toiling and travail to watch your return slip through your fingers like sand are over. The days of My solid, weighty, substantial provision and abundance are here. The locusts have been banished. And My robust, hearty, abundant, overflowing provision is here, and it shall not be moved or stolen. You shall not lack grain for your planting. And you will hold in your hand the seed for your next harvest and the harvest after that and after that and after that. I Am putting seed in your hand, even in the midst of this great abundant supply of provision that will carry you many rounds of harvest into the future. You will not look at what I have given you and say this is so amazing for now, this is go glorious for now, but what will I do next? How will I advance after this from this place? No, even as the hearty, weighty abundant provision arrives that no locusts can touch and no man can move, you will hold in your hands the seed you’ll need for the next harvest and the next and the next. This is a time that I put the investment seed in your hands even at the same time as the abundant, hearty, weighty provision for now.

The provision for now is great and abundant, and the seed is even separate from it. You will hold it in your right hand, and this seed will take you forward into many harvests from now.

”And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.”“

Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭23‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

These are days where your heart will be lighter, and the new thoughts in your mind will not be about sufficiency and making payments. The new thoughts will be, where can I sow? Who can I bless? What is happening that is beautiful and pleasing to the Lord that I can put seed into and share in the harvest? This is a time where even in the midst of the substantial provision, you will have separate seed that you can sow into the future. And it will be your glory and joy to do so, and it will be My delight to guide you into many good deeds, many beautiful opportunities to give, to sow, to invest. And from there, in its time, so shall you reap an abundant harvest — some 30, some 60, some 100 fold — because great grace for multiplication, a multiplication anointing, is being poured out on My people who sow their seed well. I’m placing it in your hands to sow. Sow faithfully. Sow cheerfully. Do it with vision and with excitement for what the future will hold. You are investing for the future of generations yet to come.

How to Respond

  • Pray, Lord, let it be as You have said. Let’s turn the chapter from a time of travail, toiling and scraping by, and let us enter the time where You redeem all that the locusts have eaten, where You abundantly supply great provision for now and seed that will take us many harvest cycles into the future.
  • Declare, my God is the Lord of the Harvest. He is the Lord of the times and seasons. We till, we plant,` but He provides the sunlight, the rain, and it is Him who causes it to grow. The Lord’s justice is here for all that the locusts have stolen. And I will see justice in finances and provision, and I will live in His goodness and super abundance. I will no longer live in lack. I will be one who is generously able to sow into others.
  • Decree, I am the head and not the tail. I will be the lender, and the investor, not the borrower. I will see a great return as the Lord guides me into investments, into giving, into all kinds of sowing of the seed that He is placing in my right hand. The chapter has turned on lack and the theft of the locusts, and the Lord has moved me into a time of great abundance.
