Today’s Reading:
Proverbs 25
Psalm 119
2 Corinthians 6
”It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.“
Proverbs 25:2 NASB1995
The Spirit of the Living God says,
Return to your first love. Return to the joy, the hunger, the delight and absolute gobsmacked love of your salvation. Return to what you did at first. Return to the hunger, the consuming ravenous hunger, the curiosity and the desire to search out truth and understanding of the first days of your salvation.
”Your word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.“
Psalms 119:11 NASB1995
My Holy Spirit guides you. My Holy Spirit leads you. My Holy Spirit sets you a narrow and true path. Don’t feel hemmed in by the narrow path. Feel liberated by it. My boundaries set you free. My boundaries make you limitless, because nothing is impossible in the freedom of Me. Nothing is impossible when you are not weighted down with sin and the anguish of your own actions or thoughts running contrary to your design. When you live according to My Word, My design, My boundaries, you are perfectly and wonderfully free. You can sail, soar and run in ways that were not available before. You can forget about competition and take total joy, absolute pleasure in knowing Me, in fully being you and in running, flying and leaping in the the assignment I have put in your hands, in the call and anointing I have place on your life. I want nothing to hinder you, nothing to hold you back. The way to be wonderfully free, the way to fling off the restraints is to live within the protective boundaries of My Word, My ways, My instruction and to remain steadfastly in forward motion on the narrow path on which I have set you.
”Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!“
2 Corinthians 6:11-13 MSG
Nothing is impossible on this narrow path. Nothing. Live in the joy of your salvation. Live in absolute and perfect freedom knowing that you are completely loved, completely known and tailor-made purpose has been woven into your life that fits your personality and gifting perfectly. I have made you for such a time as this. I have made you to forge the future now — today and every day you have breath in your lungs. Run on the narrow path in full freedom. Live in the joy of your salvation. Be fully and wonderfully free.
How to Respond
- Pray, thank You Lord for the boundaries You give. Thank You that they are guard rails for my full freedom. They help me to stay on the narrow path and move forward at great speed, with great joy because I am not held back by guilt, shame or fear. Thank You that You have made my path the place where nothing is impossible. Restore to me the joy of my salvation Lord. Help me to live in the wonder and hunger and delight of the early days of knowing You. I never want to lose that zeal again.
- Declare, where the Spirit of the Lord reigns, there is freedom. He whom the Lord sets free, is free indeed.
- Decree, I will return to the initial joy of my salvation. I will stir up thanksgiving, wonder and hunger for the Lord and His Word. I will celebrate the beautiful boundaries that the Lord has provided for my protection. His boundaries keep me on the narrow path of my calling and make a way for me to live in complete freedom. I can run ahead without fear, regret, guilt or shame as I remain in the joy of my salvation and the freedom the Lord has bought for me at a great price.
