1 Peter 5:6-7 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God of Truth says,
Choose trust in the chaos. Choose trust in the confusion. Choose trust in the storm that surrounds. Trust in Me, and I will reside with you. Keep your trust, your belief burning like a flame. Be diligent to protect your flame from the winds of adversity, the winds of public opinion, the winds and torrents of stress and uncertainty. Keep your flame of belief, the flame of faith and trust lit. I will guide you to a new day.
”Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure. And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up. And he has all the power needed to do this —forever! Amen.“
1 Peter 5:8-11 TPT
Live in a posture of having rest and peace in your soul. Be anxious for nothing. Cast all of your cares on Me, and I will give you rest. Live in that posture of holy confidence, because My grace is more than sufficient to guide you to the new day. Don’t live in a harried, reactive posture. Don’t be one who operates in a knee jerk response. Listen to the sound of My voice. Listen to My guiding, My instruction, and move forward in bold, assured confidence that I Am leading you exactly where you need to go. Live in the confidence that though you didn’t see the development that is causing fear and chaos or raising people’s anxiety levels — though you didn’t see it coming — you know that I did. And I worked it into the plan and the path on which I have put you. I have made a way for you to circumvent it, leverage it, walk right over it or something else. Just because it wasn’t a part of your understanding or your plans, don’t assume that I didn’t work it into Mine.
”Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.“
Proverbs 3:5-6 TPT
I Am the God who makes a way where there is no way. I Am the God of the impossible, of always more than enough. No matter what the enemy throws your way, I saw it coming before he plotted it. I accounted for it and worked it into My plan to take you higher, farther, faster, to make you more victorious, more alive, more shining than you could have been had you not walked through the storm in faith, in holy confidence. Everything the enemy does to destroy, I turn it around for your good, for your promotion and advancement. Don’t fear the storm and don’t get caught up in reactionary behavior. Live in the stillness, the rest and the peace of Me, come what may.
How to Respond
- Trust in the Lord completely and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.
- Pray, Holy Spirit, help me to get caught up in the beauty, the wonder and the awe of You. Help me to focus to on knowing You and becoming more like you. Help me to keep my eyes so focused on You that I am not distracted or dismayed by the winds, the waves or the storms that come. Help me to live at perfect peace, filled with holy confidence in You.
- Declare, the Lord my God is the God who sees, the all-sufficient God, the God of always more than enough, the God who makes a way where there is no way, my Promoter, my Guide and my Reward. He is a strong tower of refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. He is where my help comes from.
- Decree, I will not fear the winds, the waves or the storm. I will keep my faith burning brightly, and I will trust fully in the Lord my God. I am totally secure in His love and on His path. His plans for me are good — not evil — to bring me a future and a hope. He is my protector and provider, my wraparound shield. Whom or what shall I fear?
