Today’s Reading:
Psalm 1
Isaiah 56
Micah 4
John 7
What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways! He won’t walk in step with the wicked, nor share the sinner’s way, nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat. His passion is to remain true to the Word of “I AM,” meditating day and night on the true revelation of light. He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.
Psalms 1:1-3 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Activate truth in your heart. Let truth be all that is active. Let faith be what bubbles forth and holds you firmly and strongly where I have planted you. Truth is running like a river, and famine is threatening to dry it up.
Then on the most important day of the feast, the last day, Jesus stood and shouted out to the crowds—“All you thirsty ones, come to me! Come to me and drink! Believe in me so that rivers of living water will burst out from within you, flowing from your innermost being, just like the Scripture says!”
John 7:37-38 TPT
Those who have lived without truth for so long are waking up with a deep, deep thirst, and they are coming to this river of truth for a drink. As they drink, the waters of My truth flow more abundantly and more powerfully. As people draw on the nourishment and the refreshing of My truth, more will be available.
The foreigner who joins himself to Yahweh should never say, “Because I’m a foreigner, Yahweh will exclude me from his people.” And the eunuchs should never say, “Because I can’t have children, I’m just a barren tree.” For Yahweh says to such a man, “To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that honor me, and remain true to my covenant, I make this promise: ‘I will bestow upon them within my household both an honored place and an honored name, even better than the honor that comes from having children. I bestow upon them my everlasting favor; you will never be forgotten.’ And to the foreigners who join themselves to Yahweh to worship him, those who want to be his servants and love the name of Yahweh— all who honor the Sabbath and do not disregard it, and who remain true to my covenant—I make this promise: ‘I will welcome you into my holy mountain and make you joyful in my house of prayer. I will accept every sacrifice and offering that you place on my altar, for my house of worship will be known as a house of prayer for all people.’ ” The Lord God Almighty, who brings home the outcasts of Israel, says, “There are many others I will gather, and I will add them to those who are already gathered.”
Isaiah 56:3-8 TPT
The enemy looks at the truth and laughs with derision. He can’t see that they will not be satisfied with just one drink. He can’t understand that they will not drink the river dry. He doesn’t believe that this river of truth is a threat to his plans and his dominion, but it is the very thing that will empower the people to drive him out. He looks on and sees that they are thirstily drinking the truth from this river. He thinks it is a distraction from all of the evil he is unleashing, all of the wickedness happening behind closed doors and in open displays in the public square. But the more they drink of the truth, the less power he can retain, the less dominion he can claim. What he sees as a distraction is the very source of empowerment that will overthrow his princes’ thrones in the land.
“In that day,” declares the Lord, “I will assemble the lame And gather the outcasts, Even those whom I have afflicted. I will make the lame a remnant And the outcasts a strong nation, And the Lord will reign over them in Mount Zion From now on and forever.
Micah 4:6-7 NASB1995
I Am drawing by thirst a great new nation of those who will hunger and thirst for righteousness. I Am drawing to the river of My living waters those who will become an indomitable threat to the enemy and the pervasive existence of evil in the land. Those who have protested and rebelled and misunderstood truth, justice and original design will become the fiercest warriors for truth this world has ever known. Watch as the rebels, the outcasts, the freaks and the sinners become the ones who tear down demonic thrones with power and with undeterred assurance in their King. The biggest boomerang, the biggest turnaround that will crush the reign of darkness in the land will be the rebels and social justice warriors whose hearts turn into fierce weapons of righteousness for the sake of their newly received King.
How to Respond
- Stir up love and desire for greater revelations of the truth.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You woo us. Thank You for awakening a deep thirst in those who have wandered, strayed, rebelled and those whose hearts have grown cold. Revive us all with Your living water. Bring every prodigal, every rebel, every social outcast to the river of Your living water. Revive us with Your truth, and empower us to destroy the works of evil.
- Declare, the Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. A smoldering wick He will not snuff out. A bruised reed He will not break.
- Decree, the sons and daughters who have rebelled, misunderstood truth, justice and original design are being drawn by Holy Spirit now to His river of living water. They will drink and be changed forever. Those who have understood how to disrupt and destroy will now turn their attention and effort to disrupting, overturning and destroying the works and reign of evil in the land. They will declare to all of creation, “Our God Reigns!”
