Today’s Reading:
Romans 12
2 Corinthians 5
Let the inner movement of your heart always be to love one another, and never play the role of an actor wearing a mask. Despise evil and embrace everything that is good and virtuous. Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another. Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him. Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing a continual joy. Don’t give up in a time of trouble, but commune with God at all times. Take a constant interest in the needs of God’s beloved people and respond by helping them. And eagerly welcome people as guests into your home. Speak blessing, not cursing, over those who reject and persecute you. Celebrate with those who celebrate, and weep with those who grieve.
Romans 12:9-15 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
RECONCILIATION. This is a time that calls for all forms of reconciliation. This is a time to be at peace with all men insofar as it depends on you. This is a time to be settled in your heart about every relationship in your life. This is the ground floor of revival. Don’t let anything — any conflict, any disagreement, any difference be a stumbling block that remains in place on this ground floor time of visitation and transformation. Seed every heart you encounter with faith, with joy, with hope and with love. Yours is a ministry of reconciliation. Let each be reconciled one to another, and the divisive work of the enemy will not stand, will not prosper, will not become the cancerous, destructive thief that he intends. The power of life and death is in your tongue, so speak life. Breathe life, and seed life, hope, joy and love.
Live happily together in a spirit of harmony, and be as mindful of another’s worth as you are your own. Don’t live with a lofty mind-set, thinking you are too important to serve others, but be willing to do menial tasks and identify with those who are humble minded. Don’t be smug or even think for a moment that you know it all. Never hold a grudge or try to get even, but plan your life around the noblest way to benefit others. Do your best to live as everybody’s friend. Beloved, don’t be obsessed with taking revenge, but leave that to God’s righteous justice. For the Scriptures say: “Vengeance is mine, and I will repay,” says the Lord. And: If your enemy is hungry, buy him lunch! Win him over with kindness. For your surprising generosity will awaken his conscience, and God will reward you with favor. Never let evil defeat you, but defeat evil with good.
Romans 12:16-21 TPT
Today is a day for reconciliation. Therefore, each be reconciled one to another. This is not a time for pride, excuses or remembering the past. The ministry I have put in your hands, in your charge and laid at your feet is a ministry that is first and foremost reconciliation. All else can flow from that. Springs of life will flow from reconciled hearts. Transformation of minds can happen when bitterness, strife, envy and hurt have been put to death. This is a time for life and life more abundant, so kill everything thing that brings death. Take captive every thought, and make it bow in obedience to Christ. This is your cross today and every day — be a bearer and a tool of My Spirit of Reconciliation. Super abundant peace and life flow from healed hearts and relationships. This is a time to thrive and produce good fruit. A bitter tree cannot produce good fruit. Therefore be reconciled, and be a bearer and tool of My reconciliation.
And God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God. In other words, it was through the Anointed One that God was shepherding the world, not even keeping records of their transgressions, and he has entrusted to us the ministry of opening the door of reconciliation to God. We are ambassadors of the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleading with them directly through our lips.
2 Corinthians 5:18-20a TPT
This is urgent, and it is a command. Reconciliation is mandatory in order to prosper in the days ahead. Bring peace, bear peace and be at peace with all men insofar as it depends on you. Let love fill your heart and overflow. It will bring health and healing. It will cut off the cancer of bitterness, hurt, unforgiveness, and it will shut down deceit. Love conquers all. Be a wellspring, a fountain of love that blesses each one and sprinkles them with affection. This is My way.
How to Respond
- Ask the Lord to identify any hidden places of hurt and bitterness that will inhibit you from fruitfulness and advancing in the days ahead.
- Pray, Lord, I want to be reconciled with every person in my life. I want abundant life, and I do not want to be a stumbling block to anyone in this time of Your visitation and revival. Help me to bring healing and reconciliation to every relationship in my life that needs it. Help me to be one who seeds love, joy, hope and life into each relationship.
- Declare, the Lord has given me a ministry of reconciliation. Insofar as it depends on me, I will be at peace with all men.
- Decree, These are critical days, ground floor days of revival, awakening and visitation, and I will in no way be a stumbling block to those whom the Lord is seeking to touch and transform. I will be minister of reconciliation, and my relationships and life will prosper and bear only good fruit. To effectively minister and bring others into reconciliation with the Lord, I must first be reconciled in my heart and relationships.
