Today’s Reading:
Galatians 4
Psalm 19

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Hearts are turning from that which tickles the eardrum to that which cuts to the heart. The fluff and the fake and the feel good is increasingly being seen as fleeting, fruitless, forgettable and without power. The words that cut the heart, the encounter that overtakes and opens eyes cannot be manufactured, cannot be forgotten, cannot be mistaken.

So it is with us. When we were juveniles we were enslaved under the hostile spirits of the world. But when the time of fulfillment had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law. Yet all of this was so that he would redeem and set free those held hostage to the law so that we would receive our freedom and a full legal adoption as his children. And so that we would know that we are his true children, God released the Spirit of Sonship into our hearts—moving us to cry out intimately, “My Father! My true Father!”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

People are turning to the real even in the unseen realm. They want authentic. They want Presence. They want to experience the raw, true undeniable love and the Presence and power of God. False religion will no longer do. Going through the motions will no longer do. Running away from the knowledge of Me will no longer satisfy. Intellectual and cultural sensibilities and conventional wisdom about the world, about the unseen realm, about the very air you breathe are being shunned and pushed aside for that which strikes the chord of the heart — for that which overshadows and brings transformation because of My palpable, undeniable, thick Presence.

Now we’re no longer living like slaves under the law, but we enjoy being God’s very own sons and daughters! And because we’re his, we can access everything our Father has—for we are heirs because of what God has done!
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This is the time where the raw and the real, the unpolished and the unperformed will rise in authority, will rise as the voice to be heard; and that which is calculated, that which has talking points, that which comes with production will be shunned and abandoned by the many. Because they will see the true, the pure, the raw, the unfiltered and the unperfected but real ones. They will seek that which has experience over theory, and the ones who live in the realm of theory will be set aside as irrelevant.

But now that we truly know him and are intimately known by him, why would we for a moment consider turning back to those weak and feeble principles of religion, as though we were still subject to them?
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬ ‭TPT‬‬

We are moving into the messy, the beautiful, the untamed, raw and wild time of the Gospel of Christ’s Kingdom being preached, of encounters that don’t exactly align with so-called church doctrine being shared boldly and broadly, of transformations that cannot be ignored or explained away. And the old wine skin, the formatted Church service, the conventional approach to “doing Church” will fade away. And instead we will see the many being Church without ceasing. The Gospel will be the most spoken about, most loved, adored and delighted in, highly sought after, hotly discussed topic of the day. People will not leave their homes without their Bible. They will have their eyes and hearts unveiled to the vast depths and keen applicability of the wisdom and precepts it contains.

Life is shifting. Church is changing. Culture is being vastly rearranged. My grace is upon it.

How to Respond

  • Delight in the changes, the encounters and the transformations the Lord is doing in unexpected and seemingly unlikely people in all walks of life.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come. Fall thickly, palpably and undeniably. I want to be one who experiences the depths and transformation of Your glorious Presence. Help me to be a new wineskin. Help me to see what You are doing, even as it pulls away from how things have been done. Help me to lean into the change and delight in it.
  • Declare, Yahweh’s Word is perfect in every way; how it revives our souls! Yahweh’s laws lead us to truth, and his ways change the simple into wise. Yahweh’s teachings are right and make us joyful; his precepts are so pure! Yahweh’s commands challenge us to keep close to his heart! The revelation-light of his Word makes my spirit shine radiant. Yahweh’s decrees are trustworthy. The fear of Yahweh is pure, enduring forever. The rarest treasures of life are found in his truth. That’s why God’s Word is prized like others prize the finest gold. Sweeter also than honey are his living words— sweet words dripping from the honeycomb! For they warn us, your servants, and keep us from following the wicked way, giving a lifetime guarantee: great success to every obedient soul!“
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19‬:‭7‬-‭11‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, the Lord’s glory, power and Presence are encountering many and transforming many. Church and society will change as a result, and those who won’t move with the change will be left behind, left alone with the old ways. The sound of the Gospel of Christ’s Kingdom is rising, advancing and accelerating, and the old ways of doing Church are fading. We are moving into a time where the reality is unbroken communion with the Lord, ongoing preaching, debate and discussions about the Gospel, and the transformed ones truly living and being the Church.
