Isaiah 44
Isaiah 61-62
2 Thus says the Lord who made you
Isaiah 44:2-5
And formed you from the womb, who will help you,
‘Do not fear, O Jacob My servant;
And you Jeshurun whom I have chosen.
3 ‘For I will pour out water on the thirsty land
And streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring
And My blessing on your descendants;
4 And they will spring up among the grass
Like poplars by streams of water.’
5 “This one will say, ‘I am the Lord’s’;
And that one will call on the name of Jacob;
And another will write on his hand, ‘Belonging to the Lord,’
And will name Israel’s name with honor.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Grace untold. Grace beyond measure. Grace for goodness’s sake. I Am bringing grace that causes goodness to flourish as flowers in the desert. I Am causing fountains and streams of My goodness and of My people’s beautifully good acts to pop up and flourish in the dry and barren, the forsaken land. It will be inhabited again. It will flourish again. It will spring up and bless the people and the Name of the Lord God Most High again. Creation will prosper again. It will be like a Goodness Revolution, where goodness grips and takes root and overtakes the land that was dry and dead and sorrowful.
11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
Isaiah 61:11-62:1
And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
To spring up before all the nations.
62 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet,
Until her righteousness goes forth like brightness,
And her salvation like a torch that is burning.
My grace is rushing in like a stream driven by Me, and we will repopulate the desert places. We will cause flowers and plants and waters to thrive in this forsaken desert place. My grace is here for change. My grace is here to birth and drive change. And the change will be for goodness’s sake. Watch as evidence of goodness taking root begins to sprout and bloom around you. Watch as seeds of goodness you have sown with your lips or with your hands begin to unexpectedly spring forth from the ground and bless you, bless others. This is a Goodness Revolution. Goodness will be found to have deep deep roots, and it will spread at unexpected speed and with unforeseen strength. And it will all be for good.
I Am spreading good for goodness’s sake. This is a Goodness Revolution, and goodness will beget more goodness. Goodness will flood out of people’s hearts and change the colors and the landscape of the world around them. Goodness will not stay in a quiet corner of an isolated place any longer. No, it will be for the masses. It will be for the good and the change and the delight of the peoples.
2 The nations will see your righteousness,
Isaiah 61:11-62:4
And all kings your glory;
And you will be called by a new name
Which the mouth of the Lord will designate.
3 You will also be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4 It will no longer be said to you, “Forsaken,”
Nor to your land will it any longer be said, “Desolate”;
But you will be called, “My delight is in her,”
And your land, “Married”;
For the Lord delights in you,
And to Him your land will be married.
This Goodness Revolution is for the reawakening, for the awakening, for the transformative, restorative, powerful turnaround time in which you live. My Goodness Revolution is for the awakening. I will awaken the planet with My goodness. You will see your goodness met with kindness and goodness, and you will know that change is here. These are the days of My goodness flooding the earth. These are the days of My lovers planting the earth with many seeds of goodness and righteousness that spring up at unexpected speed. My goodness and the goodness of My people will overtake the Earth.
How to Respond
- Purposefully plant seeds of goodness as you go about your day. Watch for them to sprout and bloom.
- Pray, Lord, thank You for being absolutely good. Thank You for being goodness itself and for teaching us how to live as ones who do good for those around us. Lord, we are looking for Your Goodness Revolution. We are looking for change for goodness’s sake. Thank You for Your promise that goodness will replenish, repopulate and be fruitful in the Earth. Thank You for pouring out Your great grace for goodness and change.
- Declare, the Lord is initiating a Goodness Revolution that will cause barren and dry places to flourish again. Goodness will overtake the Earth.
- Decree, I will be part of the Lord’s Goodness Revolution. I will plant seeds of goodness and experience the delight and the fruit of that goodness, as it causes yet more goodness to spring forth.
