“Listen! I hear my lover’s voice. I know it’s him coming to me— leaping with joy over mountains, skipping in love over the hills that separate us, to come to me. Let me describe him: he is graceful as a gazelle, swift as a wild stag. Now he comes closer, even to the places where I hide. He gazes into my soul, peering through the portal as he blossoms within my heart. The one I love calls to me: Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling. Come away with me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out. For now is the time, my beautiful one.”

The Spirit of the Living God says,
My grace is upon you for adventures. My grace is upon you to try something new, to do something new, to be something new. This is a time of shedding old identities, shedding old professional titles. For many this is a season of new identity, new adventure, new pursuit and new challenges. It is a time to shed the former work, the former ways. It may have served you very well. It may be your title and your calling card in the community. But the desire of your heart is responding to My call to do something new, to be something new, to try your hand and put your life’s joy into something new.
“The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth.”

This is a changing of the guard season. It’s a time of shifts and changes. What was before has served its purpose, and the time to respond to My call of something new is here. Many will shift places. Many will make significant choices to change the work of their hands or the target of their work. For some, it may be similar work but a new scene. It may be completely new work in an old and familiar place. It may be a branch of your current work that you have never explored. It may be something completely new. But the time for staying in old ways doing old things in the same mode with the same approach is through for those whose hearts are tied to Me and who respond to My call. New opportunities will arise. New calls, phone calls and conversations will bud something unexpected that sparks life, hope, adventure and brings light to your eyes.
“Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me. For you are my dove, hidden in the split-open rock. It was I who took you and hid you up high in the secret stairway of the sky. Let me see your radiant face and hear your sweet voice. How beautiful your eyes of worship and lovely your voice in prayer.”

Change is here. I’m changing your scene. I’m pulling on, calling on and introducing change to your work, to your offering, to your very identity in a way that brings refreshing, energy and a clear outlook with endless possibilities unfurling before you. Get ready for change. Get ready for yes. Get ready for shifts that require faith and even great leaps of faith. Some may seem like small hops of faith, but when you look back you will know that that one small yes changed the trajectory of your life and the world around you. This is a season I Am answering heart’s cries. I Am responding and bringing opportunities to heart’s calls. Change, innovation, fresh energy, hope, delight and life will be the result. Get your hopes up. Get your yes ready.
How to Respond
- Open yourself up to hear from the Lord about changes He’s calling you into, and open yourself up for conversations and opportunities.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for loving me, for seeing me and knowing my heart’s desires. Thank You for knowing me better than I know myself, because You created me. Lord I’m getting my hopes up for change, for opportunity and for possibly even a new calling, career or team. You know what You have in store. Help me to be in a posture that is open and willing to make changes and leap at new opportunities that are from You.
- Declare, my God is the Lord of the times and seasons. He determines our places. He has given us talents, abilities and gifts that can be channeled for many different purposes, and He loves to delight our hearts. This is a time of new opportunities, changes and shifts.
- Decree, I am open to change. I am looking for the opportunities the Lord has for me. I will not make excuses to stay where I am in the same pattern doing the same thing. I will leap with a spirit of adventure into the new, so I can serve the Lord with fresh energy in a new way. I will be part of the Lord’s changing of the guard.
