Today’s Reading:
Psalm 139
“Lord, you know everything there is to know about me. You perceive every movement of my heart and soul, and you understand my every thought before it even enters my mind. You are so intimately aware of me, Lord. You read my heart like an open book and you know all the words I’m about to speak before I even start a sentence! You know every step I will take before my journey even begins. You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past. You have laid your hand on me!”
Psalms 139:1-5 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
My anointing makes you strong. My anointing provides a covering for you to accomplish the works of My purpose. My purpose proceeds My anointing. The anointing is the covering and the grace that is attached to My purpose. Ask Me for My purpose in your life. Ask Me for My purpose in this season. And step into the grace, the anointing I have appointed for your success. I have appointed you for success, not failure. My success may not always look like what you imagined. My purposes and My ways are bigger and higher than yours. So what you see as failure, I may see as a stepping stone to success.
“Wherever I go, your hand will guide me; your strength will empower me. It’s impossible to disappear from you or to ask the darkness to hide me, for your presence is everywhere, bringing light into my night. There is no such thing as darkness with you. The night, to you, is as bright as the day; there’s no difference between the two.”
Psalms 139:10-12 TPT
These are days of building. Strengthen your heart muscle. Strengthen your will muscle. It’s time to choose to be one-hundred percent with Me. This is a day to choose whom you will serve. This is a day to lay your life out like a drink offering before Me, and I will meet you there. When I ask you to pour yourself out, you are pouring out old thoughts, fixed mindsets, bad patterns. You are pouring out everything that does not align with Me, and you are putting your will on the altar of My love. My promise is this, I will resurrect the true, essential, original, only you. I will restore you to My original intent. I will open new pathways in your mind and cause My Spirit to flow from your heart like a river of living water.
“You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place; carefully, skillfully you shaped me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book. Every single moment you are thinking of me! How precious and wonderful to consider that you cherish me constantly in your every thought! O God, your desires toward me are more than the grains of sand on every shore! When I awake each morning, you’re still with me.”
Psalms 139:13-18 TPT
Pouring yourself out actually gives Me the room, gives Me the invitation to restore you to you. As you give yourself to Me, not only will I give Myself to you — but I will give the true you back to you. Every sacrifice you make for Me, for My Kingdom’s sake, to enter into a greater measure of My Presence will be met with a greater reward, a greater gift than the sacrifice. The sacrifice will pale in comparison to the reward — causing you to realize and understand that it was not a sacrifice at all. It was a step of obedience that brought you deeper into My Presence, deeper into relationship with Me, deeper into understanding My ways and My heart, My purposes.
This is a season and a moment to be clear on My purpose, so you can stay under the covering of My anointing and so you can walk effectively through this time. Desire Me. Desire to understand My purposes, My ways and seek My face. As you do, all of the other things will be added unto you.
How to Respond
- Pursue the Lord in prayer. Ask Him to make it clear to you what His purposes are in your life right now.
- As an act of obedience, lay your life before the Lord. Give yourself completely to Him with no reservation. He will meet you there.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Reveal to me Your purposes for my life — for right now and for the big picture. Help me to walk in lockstep with You. Help me to walk faithfully in Your anointing for my life, so that I can be effective as I work to accomplish Your purposes. Lord, I want to hold nothing back from You. You can have full access to me. Restore me back to the original, true me that You knit in my mother’s womb.
- Declare, the Lord will fulfill His purpose for me. Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. His purposes and His ways are bigger and higher than my ways. And His plans are perfect every time, and He is absolutely good.
- Decree, I lay my life completely before the Lord. I love the ways and the purposes of the Lord. I will walk in His purposes and anointing for my life. I will not be drawn off track. I will walk in the wholeness and restoration of the Lord. He is restoring me back to His original intent and helping me get rid of everything that He did not purpose for me.
