Today’s Reading:
2 Corinthians 1
2 Corinthians 6

“We rejoice in saying with complete honesty and a clear conscience that God has empowered us to conduct ourselves in a holy manner and with no hidden agenda. God’s marvelous grace enables us to minister to everyone with pure motives, not in the clever wisdom of the world. This is especially true in all of our dealings with you.”

2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The Spirit of the Lord says,
Shed corruption and compromise. Wash yourself off with the waters of truth. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Don’t fudge on the edges. Don’t manipulate the truth for gain, even if you feel the ends justify the means. Stay pure. The truth can stand for itself. The truth is no shrinking violet. Your lips may have shrunk back from speaking the truth, but that is no fault of the truth. That is on you. It’s time to rise up. Wash off compromise. Wash off corruption. Wash off and rid yourself of partnerships with wickedness, associations with evil and connections with with those living in open rebellion against Me. This is an hour of a deluge of truth. May you already be found pure, clean, washed when the deluge comes. May you already be firmly planted on the side of right, honesty and truth when the deluge comes.

“We have proved ourselves by our lifestyles of purity, by our spiritual insights, by our patience, and by showing kindness, by the Spirit of holiness and by our uncritical love for you. We commend ourselves to you by our truthful teachings, by the power of God working through us, and with the mighty weapons of righteousness—a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. Amid honor or dishonor, slander or praise—even when we are treated as deceivers and imposters—we remain steadfast and true.”

2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:6-8‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Be no companion with fools nor keep wicked errand boys. They will destroy your name and your business. They will rob your prosperity, and you will be called unwise at best, foolish at best, overly trusting at best. If you see they have a heart for compromise, correct them. Do not let yourself be taken advantage of, and do not throw your pearls before swine. Don’t let foolishness and compromise, don’t let your empathetic heart be stubbornly standing for a fool who tears down your name and your business with their poor dealings. This is an hour for purity. This is a day for cleansing and no compromise. This is a day to be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves. Don’t let fools and compromisers rob you of the work of your hands. Stand firm. Demand truth. Demand purity. Those who refuse it can find other pastures.

Protect the land and the property I have given you. Protect the inheritance of your children and your children’s children. Don’t let it be eaten by moths and trampled by swine. Set your father’s heart, set your mother’s heart on ones who will choose the good way — on ones who are teachable. You know the difference. Some hard people are teachable. Some injured people are teachable. Some highly unlikely people are teachable, and some seemingly nice people will rob you blind. You know the difference. Wise up. Listen to the truth in your own heart.

“Don’t continue to team up with unbelievers in mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? Who could mingle light with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and Satan? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What friendship does God’s temple have with demons? For indeed, we are the temple of the living God, just as God has said: I will make my home in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. For this reason, “Come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord. “Touch nothing that is unclean, and I will embrace you. I will be a true Father to you, and you will be my beloved sons and daughters,” says the Lord Yahweh Almighty.”

2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:14-18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Demand that their yes be yes and their no be no. You can only demand that if yours are true first. Lead by example and require the same. Truth, honesty, no compromise, no corruption. Be the straight line, so others can see how it is done. Be one in whom there is found no compromise. Do you understand what a shelter and safe place that is for people? To know they will only find the truth in you? To know they will hear the truth from you? To know that they can absolutely rely on you? This way of being has been a rarity in the lives of many. It’s time to stand up. Stand firm, and be pillars of immovable truth. Be ones who reflect Your Father. Be ones with the compassion and love of Jesus. And demand truth. Protect the work of your hands, the gifts I have given you and the inheritance of your children’s children. Don’t let it be plundered and robbed by compromise and fools.

How to Respond

  • Sit with the Lord and ask Him to highlight any associates, business partners, employees, friends and even family members with whom you need to change your relationship to protect your future.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come. Show me any places in myself and any people with whom I am dealing that are marked by compromise, corruption and rebellion against You. Give me wisdom in how to clean up those messes and get myself and my work washed clean and into alignment with truth. Show me how to keep my boundaries marked by Your Word, Your measure, Your instruction. Help me to set a new line that does not permit compromise in my life or with my work.
  • Declare, where the Spirit of the Lord reigns, there is freedom. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. The truth will set you free.
  • Decree, I am purging my life and my associations of all corruption, fudging, manipulation and compromise. I will not let those who live in open rebellion against the Lord have their hands in the decisions of my life or business. I will set a new plumb line for those around me — one of immovable, reliable truth.
