Today’s Reading:
2 Corinthians 3
2 Corinthians 6 MSG
11-13 Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!
2 Corinthians 6:11-13 MSG
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Freedom. I created My people to be free. They are wearing so many shackles and are held down by many oppressors. Freedom is within reach. Don’t be one who oppresses and constrains yourself on top of the external oppressions, which are many. Be free in your heart, in your mind, in your words, in your home. Live free, and be an example of freedom. I’m calling you to be an example of freedom — to be a voice and a beacon of freedom, to stir up that innate longing in others, that innate longing I have placed in each heart for freedom. As you live free, it will be a beautiful example and a deep stirring for those who are bound. As you open your mouth and speak in freedom, it will embolden others to rise up and do the same. Be an example of freedom.
12 Therefore having such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech,
2 Corinthians 3:12
Stir up freedom in the hearts of those in your orbit, and watch the boldness and the courage that emerges. Watch the gumption and the chutzpah that rises. Courage begets courage, and freedom begets freedom. That’s why those who hate freedom hate America so much. She was established to be a bright shining city on a hill, a beacon of hope and freedom and truth. Rise up in courage. Rise up in boldness. Rise up and cause the face of America to be a fierce warrior for truth, honor, and freedom again. Cause the face of America to be one that bows to the lordship of Christ Jesus again.
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18
Rise up and be free. Live free. Who told you that you were constrained? Shake off the shackles you allowed to be put on. Break off the shackles you placed on your own hands, feet, mind and mouth. BE FREE my dear one. Be free. I made you for freedom. Be wild and free. Live that beautiful Spirit life of soaring and operating in true freedom. Your heart will sing and your soul will dance as you move and operate in freedom — even as you move closer to freedom, your soul will burst with joy. Be free. It’s for freedom Christ has set you free. Rise up. Mount up on wings like eagles, and be free. It’s time to soar above the ground warfare. Come up here and be free.
How to Respond
- Sit with the Lord and ask Him to show you where and how you’re not living in the full freedom that Christ paid the full price for you to have.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Fill me up. Embolden and strengthen me with Your Spirit. Give me the words to say and the actions to take this day and week to be an example of freedom. Help me to be one who stirs up others to rise up in courage, boldness and to operate in freedom. Show me how to live as a beautiful example of unhindered freedom.
- Declare, the Lord is calling His people to move and operate and speak in freedom.
- Decree, I will live in the freedom for which Christ paid the full price. I will not be constrained by the opinions of others or any other man made hindrance. I will boldly and courageously rise up in the freedom I have in Christ, and in Him I will live free.
