Today’s Reading:
Psalm 91
When you abide under the shadow of Shaddai, you are hidden in the strength of God Most High. He’s the hope that holds me and the stronghold to shelter me, the only God for me, and my great confidence. He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy, and he will protect you from false accusation and any deadly curse. His massive arms are wrapped around you, protecting you. You can run under his covering of majesty and hide. His arms of faithfulness are a shield keeping you from harm.
Psalms 91:1-4 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God says,
The trumpets of change are blowing. The trumpets of warning are sounding. You can see the dark clouds gathering from the west and from the east. You can see them gathering from every direction, but you have nothing to fear. You have nothing and no one to fear. You are securely tucked under the shadow of My wing. I Am upholding you with My righteous right hand. Nothing and no one can touch you. Not even the elite can reach My anointed ones, My protected ones, My faithful ones, My lovers. They are all hidden in Me — safe and secure from all alarm. But the warning trumpets are blasting and the sirens are sounding. The crisis is near, but My peace covers you. You are covered with My perfect peace. Remain in it. Whom or what shall you fear? I Am the Lord of all.
You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you. Don’t fear a thing! Whether by night or by day, demonic danger will not trouble you, nor will the powers of evil be launched against you. Even in a time of disaster, with thousands and thousands being killed, you will remain unscathed and unharmed.
Psalms 91:5-7 TPT
In Me, you have absolutely nothing to fear. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Trust in Me, and you will see that I also have put My trust in you. I have commissioned you, anointed and appointed you for good works which I have prepared in advance. I have entrusted them in to your hands. Stay with Me. Remain in Me, and I will instruct you in the way you should go. Each moment, each day, at each time of uncertainty, listen for My voice. You will hear it in your ear instructing you, telling you, “this is the way walk in it.” It may not be the way that seems wise to man. It may seem foolish to man. It may seem contrary to conventional wisdom and to the way that is common to man. But walk in confident obedience. I Am the Lord of all. I will not lead you down a false way. I will not lead you down a wrong path.
You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness, trampling every one of them beneath your feet! For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: “Because you loved me, delighted in me, and have been loyal to my name, I will greatly protect you. I will answer your cry for help every time you pray, and you will feel my presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor. I will satisfy you with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!
Psalms 91:13-16 TPT
Trust and obedience are essential in this time. You can have and should have perfect peace even as the trumpets play their warning sound, even as the sirens join their chorus, even as the dark clouds approach. I have provided the shelter of perfect peace for you. I have provided a safe refuge for you in Me. Do not be alarmed. Do not give way to fear. Simply trust and obey. Walk forward as I instruct you, and live in the bold, confident, unshaken assurance that I Am the Lord your God, and I will lead you through this. I will see you to the other side, to the new day, to the time of sparkling new where everything has changed. Remain in Me. Hold fast to Me. It may seem like a bumpy ride, but perfect peace and security are the portion for My lovers who remain firmly, steadfastly in Me. I Am your God.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.
- Pray, Lord, help me to remain in You. Help me to hold tightly to You, not wavering, not fearing, not being shaken. Thank You that You provide covering, protection and perfect peace for those whose lives are entwined as one with You. Help me to walk in confident, steady, unshakeable obedience as I trust You to bring me through this stormy time of crisis..
- Declare, great is the Lord and worthy of all glory, honor and praise. To Him alone I will sing my praises. In Him alone, I will put my trust. I will not trust in chariots, horses, armies or men. I will trust wholly and completely in the Lord my God. He alone is worthy, and He is a mighty fortress. He is a strong tower of refuge and strength. He is a very present help in times of trouble.
- Decree, though storms, spiritual clashes and global crises may come, I will trust fully in the Lord my God to secure me, to cover me with His perfect peace and to bring me safely through to the new day He has appointed and prepared. The Lord my God is the one who set the stars in the sky and knows them all by name. He set the pillars of the Earth into place and marked out the boundaries for the oceans. My God is Creator of Heaven and Earth. He is Lord of all. Whom or what shall I fear? I am tucked securely under the shelter of His wing. He is upholding me with His righteous right hand. I shall not be moved.
