2 Corinthians 6 MSG
John 3
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; 3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
2 Peter 1:2-4
The Spirit of the Lord says,
I’ve given you all you need pertaining to life and godliness. My fingerprints are all over your life. My goodness marks your life. My handiwork dots and covers your life. I knit you together in your mother’s womb. I created the air you breathe and the ecosystem of your life. The life that you call your orbit, your sphere, your routine, your home, your family, your friends — I Am Lord above them all. So why not trust Me with even greater things? Why not trust Me with even smaller things? I Am the air in your lungs, the life in your step. How can you think you do it alone? How can you think that your will and your power can propel you forward? I Am with you, and I Am for you. Grasp ahold of My hand. Partner with Me in adventure. Parnter with Me in all aspects of your life. There is no place that is out of My reach unless you withhold it from Me. I can reach them all. I can touch them all. I can bring life and light and newness to them all.
11-13 Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!
2 Corinthians 6:11-13
My heart is for you. My heart beats inside of you. Let go of the limitations you place on your life, yourself and Me. Tear down that fence that prevents us from going farther, from roaming freer. It’s time to explore bigger pastures and wider, more open, more spacious places. This is a season to break off the reigns that you have put on yourself. The only tether you need is the one attached to Me. Break free from these notions, these ideas and these self-limiting and God-limiting beliefs. I Am calling you to freedom, to dream without limits, to believe without hindrance, without defining and confining the outcomes. I Am calling you to limitlessness. I Am calling you to the place where all things are possible. I Am calling you to life in the Spirit, to moving like the wind and to pure, unadulterated, unrestrained freedom.
8 The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
John 3:8
Ho hum days of over-structuring are done. Have the structure, but allow yourself to use it and not be confined by it. Allow it to be a guide and a support, not a fence or an enclosing, confining barn. Think bigger. Dream bigger, reach out farther. My hand will be waiting there for you. I never chastise or scold My lovers for dreaming too big, for desires that are too great. I only do that for expectations that are too low, beliefs that are too small, dreams that are not even close to being big enough.
It’s time to think bigger, dream bigger, hope wider, cast your net farther. These are days of the big catch, of the expansive horizon, of the widest open spaces you have seen — wider even than you have ever dreamed. These are days of Me exceeding expectations, so you may as well try to out-dream Me. Have fun with it. Dream and then double that dream. Then challenge yourself to dream even bigger. Then you will get in the ballpark of where we are going, but I will still exceed even those dreams. These are days of My shining, pouring out and vastly outdoing what you could have ever hoped, asked or dreamed. Dream bigger.
How to Respond
- Purpose and set aside times with the Lord to daydream. Ask Him to help you cast a bigger vision for your life and future.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Stir up my imagination. Stir up the dreams that You planted in my heart and water them. Cause them to grow from dream to desire. Help me cast off the restraints and self-limiting, God-limiting beliefs that I have been holding, so I can dream and open myself up in childlike faith and believe that nothing is impossible. Help me to dream bigger, and then come and vastly exceed my expectations Lord.
- Declare, the Lord is calling His people to shed self-limiting and God-limiting beliefs, structures and expectations. He is calling us to childlike faith, to dream bigger than we ever have and to enter a great, wide-open spacious place of freedom in Him and with Him.
- Decree, I submit my life to the Lord. I will remove every hindrance that is blocking me from dreaming bigger, believing bigger and living in extraordinary freedom with the Lord. The Lord will exceed my every dream, expectation and plan. He will walk with me into things that I previously believed to be impossible.
