Romans 8
Isaiah 65:17-25
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.
Romans 8:14.
The Lord says,
My heart is for freedom. It is not for confinement. It is not for the artificial boxing in of yourself with rules and strict regimens. Yes, there’s a place for discipline and a purpose for it. But remember too that I have created the days to serve you and not to be your master. The stress, the anxiety, the cares – how much of it is self-induced from self-made rules and schedules and expectations? I have come to give you life and to give it more abundantly – more abundantly than the way you are living – than what you are experiencing.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. – Romans 8:14. What does living by My Spirit look like? It looks like allowing Me to help you see how to shape your day, how to order your day so that it best serves you. And it may look different every day. Yes, there are days and reasons for rhythms and schedules. But there are seasons where you will be best served by letting go of tightly held expectations and regimens, and you go with the flow of My Spirit. This is how and when you will accomplish more with less striving, less effort. When you are in My flow, the work requires less effort. When you are forcing it, do you notice how much harder it is to get done?
I’m giving you strategies and favor, grace to accomplish all that needs to be done in this season. So get into My flow. Ask for My wisdom in ordering your day.
There needs to be room for napping and fresh air and soul-filling music. These seem like a waste of time, but I will rearrange and reorder, recalibrate your time, so that these things don’t just fit into your schedule – but they are components of freedom, they are bringing life and a fresh perspective and new energy to work.
Learn how to live by My Spirit, to get into the flow of My Spirit. It will be good practice, because life is soon going to become a whole lot freer.
Hope Infusion
The Lord says,
It’s easy to hope when you’re not striving for everything you get or get done. I’m administering big doses of hope to My people. And those who slip into the ways of My Spirit will naturally live in hope. It will be like they are floating in hope.
When you are walking closely with Me, you can’t get too distracted by what’s going on around you. It can grab you for a moment here or there, but then return your gaze to Me, lock your eyes on Me. And be refilled, be revived by the hope I impart, that I freely give.
Your hope will no longer be deferred in this new season. Hope will bear its fruit, will bear much fruit in this season.
Rainbow Days
The Lord says,
I Am reminding people of My promises and moving to fulfill them. These are days when many hearts will be overflowing with joy, when many eyes will be filled with tears of joy and thanksgiving and awe and relief. I Am indeed stirring up hearts to remember My promises – and I Am even moving to surprise some by answering promises long forgotten.
This is a time where many will see My hand of favor and look on My goodness and see that I Am good. I Am good and I am for you.
I Am moving Heaven and Earth to fulfill promises to My people, to My wanderers, to My broken hearted, to My downcast, and to My hopeful. Many will look in awe of what I’ve done to fulfill the promises I’ve made to them.
My Promises made are promises kept. And this a season of great fulfillment.
Great Restoration, revival and outpouring of faith will come because of how I have moved. How I have impacted people’s lives. Perspectives will change. Postures will change. Countenances will change. Minds will change.
How to Respond
- Ask the Lord to give you a strategy each morning for how to approach your day. Throughout the day, ask Him to guide you in getting your work done.
- Ask the Lord what your soul needs for inspiration and recharging today. Is it a nap? A cup of coffee with a friend? A 15 min break to play with your dog? A clip from your favorite funny movie on repeat until you can really belly laugh out loud?
- Examine the places in your heart where you need hope restored, and ask the Lord to come into those places and give you a fresh vision for hope.
