Today’s Reading:
1 Timothy 1
Habakkuk 2
“My heart spills over with thanks to God for the way he continually empowers me, and to our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, who found me trustworthy and who authorized me to be his partner in this ministry. Mercy kissed me, even though I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor of believers, and a scorner of what turned out to be true. I was ignorant and didn’t know what I was doing. I was flooded with such incredible grace, like a river overflowing its banks, until I was full of faith and love for Jesus, the Anointed One!”
1 Timothy 1:12-14 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Grace, abundant grace — flowing like a river being poured out from heavenly storehouses. My grace for change is here. My grace for doing is here. My grace for running is here. My grace for grabbing the baton and starting a new race is here. I Am pouring out My abundant grace on the ones who have been planted, stuck and felt frozen in the wilderness. My abundant grace is flowing, is reviving, is breathing new life and dreams and vision into My lovers. These ones who have felt like dried tree stumps in the wilderness, unable to move forward or backward — on these I Am pouring out My abundant lavish grace. I Am handing them new batons, new assignments, new glorious visions with which to run. It may feel wobbly the few first steps out of that place where you have been frozen, stuck and lodged. But your race legs will strengthen quickly under you as you run. Your vision will get sharper as you run. Don’t wait for the vision to clear up while you are in the starting blocks. The vision gets clearer as you run. The anointing of My grace is like a magnifying glass as it pours over your eyes. You will be able to see and understand clearly the details, the fine points — but only as you run.
“I can testify that the Word is true and deserves to be received by all, for Jesus Christ came into the world to bring sinners back to life—even me, the worst sinner of all! Yet I was captured by grace, so that Jesus Christ could display through me the outpouring of his Spirit as a pattern to be seen for all those who would believe in him for eternal life. Because of this my praises rise to the King of all the universe who is indestructible, invisible, and full of glory, the only God who is worthy of the highest honors throughout all of time and throughout the eternity of eternities! Amen!”
1 Timothy 1:15-17 TPT
You may not have realized it, but you were in a time of extended refueling, of extended maintenance and fine tuning. When you felt like that stump in the wilderness, I was working, and you even partnered with me — to get the sand out of your engine, to get you running at even better than optimal condition. You felt like an engine up on the blocks, where you would rev and test and sputter and die and start up again but never go anywhere. You have felt like an engine on the testing table, up on the blocks. But now your engine is fine tuned. Now your engine is placed inside of you, and your legs I’ve broken free from those safety blocks that held you in place for extended maintenance. Now it’s time to race. Now it’s time to run. Now it’s time to chase after the vision, to pursue the vision with dogged determination and watch as My goodness, My mercy, My grace chase you down every step of the way.
3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed time;
Habakkuk 2:3
It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
For it will certainly come, it will not delay.
This is what it is like to be released from the wilderness at optimal racing condition. This is what it like to have the track unfurling before you. This is what it’s like to have My grace enable you to do and say and be things you never even dreamed were possible. This is a new day, a new race and a new way, all paved by My glorious grace — all made possible by My abundant lavish grace poured out on you — for you — as you pick up this new baton of vision and run. After being up on the mechanic’s table in the blocks for so long, you will relish and delight in this new opportunity to run. Grace for the race is here.
How to Respond
- Worship the Lord.
- Pray, Lord, Thank You for not leaving me in this position of extended maintenance forever. Thank You that You were fine tuning me for new vision and new assignments with which I am to take and run. Thank You for positioning me and purposing for me to partner with You and to run enabled by Your grace. You are amazing God.
- Declare, the days of fine tuning in the wilderness are done.
- Decree, I am now running in the days of grace. Grace is being poured on me and before me, so I can grasp the new assignment and chase after the vision that the Lord has given me with no sputtering, false starts or failure.
