10 Surrender your anxiety.
Psalm 46:10-11
Be still and realize that I am God.
I am God above all the nations,
and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.
11 Here he stands!
The Commander!
The mighty Lord of Angel Armies is on our side!
The God of Jacob fights for us!
Pause in his presence
The Lord says,
I Am the faithful One. I Am the One who never leaves you nor forsakes you. I Am the steadfast One, the champion, defender, and undefeatable warrior. I Am leading you into green pastures. I Am leading you into new fields. I Am leading you into unfamiliar territory, change and surprises.
I Am leading you into a season of freedom. Don’t hold onto the former ways of operating, your former identity, your former baggage. Be okay with leaving those behind and traveling light into the new season, walking confidently with Me into the unknown. The former things have passed. Can’t you perceive it? I’m doing a new thing. It springs up all around you.
8 I am Yahweh; that is my name.
Isaiah 42:8-9
I will not give my glory to another god
nor my renown to idols.
9 Don’t you see that what I have prophesied has come to pass?
And now I am foretelling the future.
I declare it to you before it sprouts up.”
Don’t run around in panic trying to bring the old into the new season. Leave it behind, and let the new be a clean slate. Let the new be fresh and unpolluted with the former things. Let this be a fresh start and a totally new place with nothing lingering or hanging on from the former seasons and stresses. Lay them down, and let them stay there.
Walk confidently and securely with Me into the great wide unknown. It is a place of freedom and a field of dreams. This new season is a place and a time where you are different, reinvented, lighter. It is a place and time where I make dreams come true. I Am right now, at this moment, making dreams come true. Don’t be frightened by the unfamiliar and don’t let fear cause you to linger in the past. Drop your baggage and your former things, your former ways, and choose to walk in the flow of My Spirit. Choose to get into the gentle breeze of My Spirit and move with Me.
10 Now listen, daughter, pay attention, and forget about your past.
Psalm 45:10-11
Put behind you every attachment to the familiar,
even those who once were close to you!
11 For your royal Bridegroom is ravished by your beautiful brightness.
Bow in reverence before him, for he is your Lord!
You will find lightness of heart, joy, peace and happiness beyond measure as you let go and flow with Me into the new, into the freedom of the great wide open. Freedom and fulfillment, peace and joy will be your anthem. You will sing songs of great joy. And you will look back and be amazed that you walked out of that former season — those hardships, those challenges, that strife. You’ll look back in awe that you left the old shell of yourself back there so you could live lighter and newer and freer, held by the confidence in Me and My trustworthiness to guide you into the great wide unknown, into freedom, new life and a peace never previously experienced.
The pressures and the challenges of the former season are nowhere to be seen in this new place. You are living and operating, reacting and walking forward differently. This is the result of your steadfast trust in Me and your choice to live from up higher. You will soon be singing that you’ve never been happier than you are right now. Mark My words.
47 Go ahead and celebrate!
Psalm 47:1-4
Come on and clap your hands, everyone!
Shout to God with the raucous sounds of joy!
2 The Lord God Most High is astonishing, awesome beyond words!
He’s the formidable and powerful King over all the earth.
So take heart. Release your grip, and be okay with leaving the former things behind. Make peace with leaving the darkness and the strain, the difficulties and the confusion behind. Let go of them, and take My hand. We will walk out of this place, and everything will change. Everything will look different, and you will look and feel and be different. You will be a more purified, more sanctified, more childlike you. It is beautiful. You’ll never want to go back. And that’s good, because we’re only moving forward.
6 “I, Yahweh, have commissioned you in righteousness to succeed.
Isaiah 42:6
I will take your hand in love and watch over you.
I will give you as a covenant for the people,
a walking-light to the nations.
Trust Me to change the seasons. That is My job. The season is changing right now. Don’t white knuckle it. It’s changing whether you are ready or not. Let go of it, and move lightly and with great trust into the future with Me. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need to trust that I do. I Am changing the season. It is happening now.
Make the choice to be different there, to let go of your ways and survival mode tactics and walk lightly into the new. That’s the prescription for success in this season. Rest assured, I Am with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you, and you can get excited about the future, because I Am already there, and it is amazing. I have planned, planted and established great things for you there — surprises, events, relationships and a new way of life. This is a season to get excited about. There will be cake there — cake that celebrates purity, remembrance and revitalization of dreams and promises fulfilled.
How to Respond
- Ask the Lord how you can live light. Ask Him how you can let go of the survival mode of this season and walk lightly into the next with Him.
- Ask the Lord to help you release your grip on ways of operating and certain aspects of identity that are holding you back from freedom.
- Worship the Lord. Praise Him for His faithfulness and provision.
- Declare that the Lord is changing the season and He is bringing us into a place of freedom and of promises and dreams fulfilled.
