33 Give me revelation about the meaning of your ways
Psalm 119:33-37
so I can enjoy the reward of following them fully.
34 Give me an understanding heart so that I can
passionately know and obey your truth.
35 Guide me into the paths that please you,
for I take delight in all that you say.
36 Cause my heart to bow before your words of wisdom
and not to the wealth of this world.
37 Help me turn my eyes away from illusions
so that I pursue only that which is true;
drench my soul with life as I walk in your paths.
Change Your Beliefs About God
The Lord says,
A.W. Tozer said that what you believe about God is the most important thing about you. He was right. It’s time to correct your thinking about Me. It’s time to get a right view of Me. I Am your Creator, the Lover of your Soul, Your Savior, Redeemer. I’m always available. I’m filled with mercy and goodness. Don’t give way in your heart to lies about Me. I Am Absolutely Good. My words are true. My ways are steadfast. I Am unchanging and unshakable. I Am the One True King.
Suspend the thoughts you have about Me. Suspend in your mind the teachings that you have heard. They are warped. Clear your mind and your heart of all previous notions, and listen. I Am good. I Am for you. I delight in you as My dearly loved child. I Am Healer, Redeemer, Protector, Provider. Fill your mind with these thoughts. Dwell on these truths about My character. A right view of Me will change the way you see everything.
Clear out the lies. I Am Absolutely Good. If something in your life – some circumstance is causing you to believe that I Am not good, know that it’s either not from Me or it’s not done yet, because I Am Absolutely Good. And I work all things together for the good of those who love Me and are called according to My purposes.
The enemy loves to pin his schemes and lies and handiwork of destruction, sickness and death on Me. But he is a liar. I Am Love, and I Am a good good Father. Give no room in your mind or your heart to his lies about Me. This is the beginning of wisdom — understanding Who I Am, pursuing Who I really Am, discerning truth from lies and having the appropriate humbled repentant attitude regarding your former beliefs about Me. This is the beginning of wisdom. Forget the God that you think I Am if those thoughts don’t point to Me being Absolutely Good. Put those thoughts away, and pick up the truth. Look up and ask Me to show you My heart. I will do it.
You can’t just put away those old lies of Me though. You have to replace them with truth. Spend time in My Word. Spend time talking to Me, asking Me to reveal Myself and the truth of My character to you. I will do it, and your life and outlook and heart will be changed by the truth of Who I Am. Your whole approach to life will change when you have a right view of Me, a right understanding of Who I Am. Tear down the old lies and replace them with My truth. It will change everything.
137 Lord, your judgments reveal your righteousness,
Psalm 119:137-140
and your verdicts are always fair.
138 The motive behind your every word is pure,
and your teachings are remarkably faithful and true.
139 I’ve been consumed with a furious passion to do what’s right,
all because of the way my enemies disrespect your laws.
140 All your promises glow with fire;
that’s why I’m a lover of your Word.
The Lord is Bringing Lies and Truth to the Surface
The Lord says,
I Am dredging up lies and bringing them to the surface. It’s gross and filthy work. It stinks. I’m dredging up lies at the personal level about Who I Am. There will be corporate revelations of this as well. I’m dredging up lies from Hollywood, from Washington, from New York and the financial centers. I Am dredging up lies from Philadelphia. It is stomach turning, gut wrenching work, but it must be done to remove these wart filled leaders and these lying voices. I will be dredging up these lies until the water runs clear again. As I bring these lies to the surface, the stench and the cold hard reality of them will turn many stomachs. These lies are disgusting.
The lies stink and are unsightly. The truth will come out like fresh clean water. The truth will spring forth like an uncontainable, uncontrollable, very desirable source of water. The truth will satisfy the thirst of many, because they have been parched in this desert land of lies where there is no truth.
As the water of truth comes, it will remove the lies from the scene. It will cause great pain and torment, public disgrace and humiliation to those who have been covered by the lies and suppressing these truths. Their warts and black hearts will be visible to all.
The truth will be uncontrollable, unable to be hidden and unpredictable. It will cause great panic in the hearts of those wart covered black hearted liars. The truth will feel like acid on their skin. It will disfigure them before the public, and their true nature and true acts will be revealed for all. I’m bringing it all to the surface.
How to Respond
- Examine your own heart and mind. Examine your beliefs about the Lord. Pinpoint any belief that says that the Lord is not Absolutely Good. And ask Him to help you replace it with the truth of Who He really is.
- Declare that the Lord is dredging out the lies and and causing truth to flow like an uncontrollable fountain.
- Declare that the truth, though horrifying will bring justice and healing with it.
- Pray for those who have sided with evil – that they would repent and find some mercy – if not from the public then from Heaven’s Redeemer.
