Today’s Readings:
Isaiah 50-51
4 The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples,
Isaiah 50:4-5
That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word.
He awakens Me morning by morning,
He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.
5 The Lord God has opened My ear;
And I was not disobedient
Nor did I turn back.
The Lord says,
Morning by morning My new mercies appear. I love you, and I Am for you. My mercies are new every morning. My grace is ever available and always sufficient. You are an heir of salvation and child of promise, what would I withhold from you? I withhold nothing from the hands of those who love Me and call themselves by Ny Name, saying, I Am a child of the Living God. I Am with the Lord and He is Mine.
Let your love for Me be stirred up and bubble forth. Stir up your affection and your desire for Me. This the time to say what is true to you. It’s the time to say what has been absolute truth in your life. I Am the way, the truth and the life. Stir up your affection for Me, and be ready and open to speak My Name and the testimony you have in Me.
7 “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness,
Isaiah 51:7-8
A people in whose heart is My law;
Do not fear the reproach of man,
Nor be dismayed at their revilings.
8 “For the moth will eat them like a garment,
And the grub will eat them like wool.
But My righteousness will be forever,
And My salvation to all generations.”
This is a season of newfound openness, newfound realness, newfound truth and vulnerability. In the swirl, the chaos, the rancor and the lies, people are seeking truth. People are tuning out the noise and looking for something real. People are looking for Me, for change, for an anchor. Let it be known that I Am your firm foundation, that I Am your source of light and life, that I fill your lungs with oxygen and give you wisdom for each day. Let it be known that you rely not on yourself or on man or on government; but you trust in the One who created you. Let it be known that you live without fear, that anxiety and stress have been rejected and have no place with you; because you rest and trust in Me. Let it be known that your soul is at ease, because you rest on My promises and trust in My faithfulness. Let it be known that I never lie and I never lose.
15 For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the Lord of hosts is His name). 16 I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, to establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’”
Isaiah 51:15-16
Speak freely about the reality of Me, the unshakable, unchangeable, undefeatable glory of Me. Speak freely about how I rescued you from a dark and miry pit and how you have been transformed in the light of My love through Christ Jesus. Speak freely about your ongoing transformation and how your day-to-day life lies in dependence on Me. Speak of how I have partnered with you to change your mindset, your outlook, your belief systems and your destiny. Speak of the miracles I have brought into your life. Speak of My follow through, My goodness and My limitless love. Speak of My absolute goodness, My mercy and My grace.
14 The exile will soon be set free, and will not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking.
Isaiah 51:14
Throw these seeking ones a life raft. Toss these questioning ones a lifeline of truth. These are the days of awakening, and these are the early days of the harvest. It’s time to switch gears from protecting and guarding mode to open and sharing mode. It will take some practice. It’s a different muscle movement than you have been using these last few years, but now is the time to speak freely. People are seeking and in need of the truth.
How to Respond
- Fill your heart with worship and fill your life with praise.
- Live a life of open thanksgiving to the Lord for His goodness, His mercy, His grace, His Presence, His faithfulness and His follow through.
- Declare, the Lord is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus has made a way for where there was no way — for me and for all people. I will declare the goodness of God, the faithfulness of God and the transforming power of God to anyone who will listen. I rebuke the fear of man, and I will be one who openly proclaims the truth.
- Decree, these are the days of awakening and harvest. The Lord is turning hearts toward Himself and opening eyes to see again. These will be days of great transformations and many changing sides in this culture war. Many are joining and many more will join the side of the Lord.
