Today’s Reading:
John 1
Hebrews 6
Isaiah 60
So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakable hope! We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6:18-20 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God from whom all blessings flow say,
Choices are in your midst — who to serve, who to believe, who to trust. But your anchor is secure. Your anchor is strongly, firmly held. Though confusion and chaos may swirl in the atmosphere. Though intense waves and very stormy seas may trouble you, your anchor is firmly held. Though you are in a vessel that is in motion and must continue its voyage come what may, you don’t have to fear the unsteady conditions. Your anchor will hold. Your anchor to Me will hold.
In the beginning the Living Expression was already there. And the Living Expression was with God, yet fully God. They were together—face-to-face, in the very beginning. And through his creative inspiration this Living Expression made all things, for nothing has existence apart from him! A fountain of life was in him, for his life is light for all humanity. And this Light never fails to shine through darkness— Light that darkness could not overcome!
John 1:1-5 TPT
You can be at perfect peace in My Presence no matter the storm, no matter the chaos, no matter how high the waves are kicked up or how severe the chop of the waters, you can be at perfect peace. This is the peace I left with you, that I imparted to you. It’s the peace that lives inside you through Holy Spirit. Murky days are ahead. The enemy will aim to sow chaos and confusion, but the bright light of My Son will pierce through it all. His light will pierce through the darkness, through the murkiness and confusion. And the light within you and the light within all who are with Me will shine brightly too. Don’t fear the darkness, the murkiness or the haze. I have provided the light that will dispel the darkness.
“Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick clouds covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of his glory appears over you! Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise-glory of your new day.”
Isaiah 60:1-3 TPT
Rise up and shine As you shine, as you let your light shine you will be able to navigate the dark and stormy, turbulent waters. You will not be shipwrecked, because I Am with you, and My light shines through you. Your anchor to Me will hold. I Am the ever-faithful One. I Am the always good One. In Me, you can have perfect peace. Even in the midst of a storm.
How to Respond
- Keep your eyes on the Lord. Trust in Him no matter what comes.
- Pray, Lord, thank You for Your goodness, Your faithfulness and the security I have in You. Help me to be faithful to keep my eyes on You, no matter what comes my way. I want to be one who stands and shines in the midst of the storm. I know that I am securely held by You.
- Declare, life came into being because of Jesus, for His life is the light for all humanity. And this Living Expression is the Light that bursts through gloom — the Light that darkness could not diminish.
— John 1:4-5 - Decree, Though the winds of chaos and confusion may arise, I am firmly anchored to the Lord my God. He will hold me securely no matter what comes. I will trust in Him, and I will be bold and of good courage. I will rise and shine in the midst of darkness, so that all those around me will not be overcome by the darkness, but they will see the light and find their help in the Lord Jesus, who is the light of men.
