Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 61
61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Isaiah 61:1-3
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
2 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Resurrection in power, in victory, in a surprise reversal and breakthrough. Unexpected truth is emerging overnight like a fully mature oak tree whose root system runs deep and wide and who brings the relief of shade to many on the battlefield. The emergence of this truth is the sign that the wilderness is being transformed into a fertile field, a flourishing garden. The emergence of this truth is evidence that that the tide has turned, the season and the time has shifted. It has already shifted, but now you will see it and begin to experience and see yet more change. A mighty powerful, undeniable truth is emerging overnight that will bring relief to many weary and dry warriors in the dry place.
7 Instead of your shame you will have a double portion,
Isaiah 61:7-9
And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion.
Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land,
Everlasting joy will be theirs.
8 For I, the Lord, love justice,
I hate robbery in the burnt offering;
And I will faithfully give them their recompense
And make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 Then their offspring will be known among the nations,
And their descendants in the midst of the peoples.
All who see them will recognize them
Because they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed.
Get your hopes up. Lift your chin and your eyes. Let your heart shine again. Let your countenance be filled with My light again. It’s time to get out of the guarded, closed, protected mode, and it’s time to start living openly, freely, honestly, truly, out loud. Leave that shame face and that fearful, guarded way behind. Begin to live as the freed ones. Begin to live as the owners, as the leaders, as the sovereigns and masters of your own life and fate and future. If I Am Lord of lords, live like a lord, like one who has authority, like one who doesn’t care what small-minded people who are not about the business of their Lord thinks. I have made you for a bigger life than you’ve been living. It’s time to carry yourself as the royalty and the authority and with the dominion that is your birthright. It’s right there at your fingertips. Just access it, possess it and wear it well.
I Am the way, the truth and the life. I Am the Sovereign One of the universe and the galaxies. Whom or what shall you fear? This is an amazing time to be alive. Shake off the dust and the weariness from the wilderness, from the dry place, and step into the authority, the power and the inheritance that is yours. Step into joy. Walk in freedom, and put on the holy confidence that gives no room or quarter to fear. Rise up My beloved warrior. Rise up My beautiful bride. Rise up. Speak up. Be an example of the freedom and the dignity, the authority and the dominion that is available, is possible, is here. Rise up.
10 I will rejoice greatly in the Lord,
Isaiah 61:10-11
My soul will exult in my God;
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
To spring up before all the nations.
Nations Spotlight: South Korea & Australia
South Korea and the South China Sea. Watch those two places. You will see tensions rise in the areas of of South Korea and the South China Sea. You will see what looks like an inevitable explosion, but it will not come to anything. It will fizzle out as if it had never been lit, and the protagonist will slink away quietly.
Some information, some call in the UK will cause the Australian people to wake up and shake themselves of the regimented, accepted militaristic type of order they have been living in. It will cause them to push back against government, and it will reignite the lion-hearted, ferocious, freedom flame inside of the people. They will wake up, break out of their regimented order, push back and fight for their rights, for freedom, for truth, for justice.
How to Respond
- Shake off your weariness and your low expectations. Shake off any remnants of the get by attitude and the go-along to get-along attitude. Rise up and embrace your birthright as a child of God. Rise up in your authority, in truth and speak up. Do not shrink back any longer. Rise up and speak up.
- Pray, Lord thank You for Your encouragement, for Holy Spirit nudging us and pushing us forward into a new day even when we are too weary and battle worn to believe that one is here. Help me to step into the new, into what is rightfully mine, into the leadership role and the freedom that is rightfully mine. Lord, I pray for the people of South Korea, those impacted by aggression in the South China Sea and the people of the UK and Australia. We thank You for your word of protection and your insight. We ask for revival and awakening in these places, for radical encounters with you that change the course of history and the path of their nations.
- Declare, the Lord is good and worthy to be praised. He is King of kings and Lord of lords. I am fearfully and wonderfully made in His image by His hands. The Lord has good plans for His people — including those in South Korea, those touched by movements in the South China Sea and the UK and Australia. He is moving on behalf of them all, and they will see the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord in their land.
- Decree, I will not shrink back or be silenced any longer. I will rise up in the authority given to me by Christ Jesus, and I will speak the truth. I will step into the authority and the dominion that is my birthright. I will advance, and I will be an example of what one living in freedom looks like.
