Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 35

35 The wilderness and the desert will be glad,
And the Arabah will rejoice and blossom;
Like the crocus
2 It will blossom profusely
And rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
The majesty of Carmel and Sharon.
They will see the glory of the Lord,
The majesty of our God.

Isaiah 35:1-2

The Spirit of the Lord says,
Trust and obey. Watch for My grace. Watch for My grace to come in like an unexpected flood. The flood of My grace is starting to lap over the banks of My goodness now. Watch for it. Dance in it. Rejoice because of it. Allow yourself to abandon stoicism and get-through-it-ness for joy. Abandon that stern face for true joy.

5 Then the eyes of the blind will be opened
And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.
6 Then the lame will leap like a deer,
And the tongue of the mute will shout for joy.
For waters will break forth in the wilderness
And streams in the Arabah.
7 The scorched land will become a pool
And the thirsty ground springs of water;
In the haunt of jackals, its resting place,
Grass becomes reeds and rushes.

Isaiah 35:5-7

Dance like a child. Twirl in My light. Bounce up and down with excitement. You don’t need to hold it in. My grace is coming in like a flood, and it will change everything. It will accelerate everything. It will refresh and revive — it will rescucitate everything.

10 And the ransomed of the Lord will return
And come with joyful shouting to Zion,
With everlasting joy upon their heads.
They will find gladness and joy,
And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Isaiah 35:10

The position to be in is to trust and obey. Keep moving one foot in front of the next, but keep your chin up. Keep your heart set on Me. Keep your eyes scanning the horizon expecting My goodness, expecting My grace, expecting My favor, expecting My change. The key is to trust and obey.

How to Respond

  • Trust in the Lord. Expect Him to pour out His grace, goodness and favor on you and your family.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come. Help me to position myself trusting in You and with a readiness for obedience. Bring Your grace, Your goodness and Your favor into my life. Cause it to be so abundant that I am overwhelmed by Your goodness.
  • Declare, Holy Spirit is moving to cause His grace to flood my life. The river of His goodness is already lapping over its banks and splashing onto me, my family, my property and every aspect of my life.
  • Decree, I will taste and see that the Lord is good. I will experience the overwhelming flood of the Lord’s grace in my life. I will experience the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
