Isaiah 40
Isaiah 61
10 Behold, the Lord God will come with might,
Isaiah 40:10-11
With His arm ruling for Him.
Behold, His reward is with Him
And His recompense before Him.
11 Like a shepherd He will tend His flock,
In His arm He will gather the lambs
And carry them in His bosom;
He will gently lead the nursing ewes.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
I Am resurrecting the walking dead. I Am flushing the death out of their systems and bringing them back to vibrant, energetic, buoyant light-filled life. For many who were going through the motions, for many who were hollow and dead inside, I Am performing shocking wake-up calls and bringing them out of death into the startling light. Celebration will be the response. Life will be the response. Leaps of joy and worship will be the response. Trust in me will be the response.
61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Isaiah 61:1-3
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
2 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
This will be called a grassroots movement, a home grown revival. Ones who have put on a good face and a good front for years, ones who have been leaders in the community, ones who have been key volunteers and supports in the school band, classroom or Chamber of Commerce — people whose character and life are well known will be transformed by My encounter, My grace, by My resurrection power; and you will see the community change. You will witness a community being moved from dry, lifeless, going through the motions, doing what must be done attitudes to alive ones — vibrantly alive like well-watered gardens, strong and growing like oaks of righteousness and with children who are as young olive plants around the table.
4 Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins,
Isaiah 61:4
They will raise up the former devastations;
And they will repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.
When I say that I Am transforming the wilderness, the barren place into a thriving life-filled oasis, I mean hearts too. I don’t just mean the world around you, I mean the people, the hearts, the community. I Am bringing people back to life. I Am bringing people from death, from dreariness, vulgarity, low morals and low expectations into My glorious light. Oh what a difference it will make. What a difference I will make. What a difference they will make. The fresh wind of My Spirit will blow upon them, and they will receive true identity, true purpose and energetic life. They will receive My grace to run, to pursue, to live and to perform the good works that I have set into their hearts. This is the Great Revival. This is the Revival of the Ages. It will start at home. It will start in cars. It will start with personal encounters, personal unexpected encounters with Me.
9 Then their offspring will be known among the nations,
Isaiah 61:9-11
And their descendants in the midst of the peoples.
All who see them will recognize them
Because they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed.
10 I will rejoice greatly in the Lord,
My soul will exult in my God;
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
To spring up before all the nations.
My Spirit will not be bridled, and I will move and target and encounter individuals, families and carpool vans as I like. I Am coming for homes. I Am coming for families. I Am coming for mothers and fathers, and I Am coming for children. I Am coming for the outcasts, the lonely, the rejected and the proud. I Am coming for the leaders, the loud mouths, the cooks and the cleaners. I Am coming for homes. I Am coming to homes. I Am making personal visits, and I will change everything. Many will meet me in secret and will never be the same.
Right-hearted churches will be formed because of encounter with Me, not because of religion. Churches — don’t play. Churches, you are put on notice. You have no place to taint or hijack My movement for your numbers, for your pride, for your pocketbook. I see hearts. Disciple these newly resurrected saints from a place of purity or else. I will not tolerate the kind of trading and deal making and false gospel that has been coming forth from many churches. You don’t want to be on the wrong end of this one. I will not tolerate it.
27 Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel,
Isaiah 40:27-31
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”?
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable.
29 He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
30 Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
31 Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.
I Am the beautiful stranger coming in, but soon they will know Me. They will be resurrected and transformed by Me, and they will delight in the pursuit of knowing Me. I will no longer be the beautiful stranger. I will be the Beloved, and they will acknowledge Me as God Most High, Savior, King and Rescue Agent — to the world and to the one. I Am drawing near for resurrections, for transformation and I Am breathing hope into the new life. Watch these joy-filled brand new lovers as they change the landscape and the ways, the hallmarks of your community. I Am coming to town. I Am coming to your house. I Am coming to encounter and change life as you know it.
How to Respond
- Spend time in worship and in personal prayer for your family, friends and members of your community who need an encounter with the Lord for resurrection and new life, true identity and a revelation of His purpose in them.
- Pray, Jesus, thank You for being the desire of nations. Thank You for desiring us too. Thank You for pursuing the one and the many. Come as You said You would. Come to my family, my neighborhood and my town. Let your Revival of the Ages start at my house. Don’t miss one Lord.
- Declare, the Lord is moving in resurrection power — to transform many who are living as the walking dead into vibrant light-filled sons and daughters. He is personally encountering many, many people and through these encounters He will change the face and trajectory of families, communities and ultimately nations.
- Decree, I love the Lord God Most High. I will be a ready and willing discipler, support and friend to those who the Lord puts in my path. I will see the Lord transform my family, my community and my nation for righteousness, holiness, true identity, true purpose and for His Kingdom’s sake.
