Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 2
2 The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.2 Now it will come about that
Isaiah 2:1-2 NASB 1995
In the last days
The mountain of the house of the Lord
Will be established [a]as the chief of the mountains,
And will be raised above the hills;
And all the nations will stream to it.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
My grace is sufficient for explosive change. My grace is sufficient for monumental change. My grace is sufficient to cause explosions that create new mountain pathways. I will create a new mountain pass. I will make a way through rocky, uncharted terrain. I will make a way to the top of the mountain where My glory dwells. The heights of My glorious mountain have felt unreachable, have been impassable. But I Am making a way where there was no way, where there has been no way. I Am detonating explosives and blasting out the hindrances. I Am creating a mountain pass to the top of My holy mountain.
3 And many peoples will come and say,
Isaiah 2:3 NASB 1995
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
To the house of the God of Jacob;
That He may teach us [b]concerning His ways
And that we may walk in His paths.”
For the [c]law will go forth from Zion
And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
This is the mountain where the peoples of the world will be drawn. The nations will say, let us go to the mountain of the Lord, so we may worship Him. I Am making explosive change to places that have hindered the nations from coming. I Am making a path through rocky terrain, and a new road to the heights of My holy mountain will exist. The way always existed, but it was hindered by rock. You have heard Michaelangeo’s explanation that his sculptures, like his famous David, were always in the rock…that he just had to set them free? So it is with the path on My holy mountain. The path has long existed. The path is there beneath the rocky hindrances. It is not a new way, but it will seem new to many. It will seem brand new to many.
4 And He will judge between the nations,
Isaiah 2:4-5 NASB 1995
And will [d]render decisions for many peoples;
And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not lift up sword against nation,
And never again will they learn war.
5 Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.
They will say, come let us go to the mountain of the Lord to pray. As the nations stream to My holy mountain, to where My glory dwells, they will join hands. They will be unified. They will be one in Spirit and in truth. And they will be a mighty force, a mighty wall against darkness. Darkness will not be able to approach the blinding light of the united ones, hand-in-hand, heart-to-heart — moving together to ascend the hill of the Lord, the mighty mountain where My glory dwells. I Am breaking barriers and tearing down strongholds that have hindered the passageway to the heights of My Presence, to the top of My holy mountain. I Am making a way where there seemed to be no way. Because I love you, because of My great love for the nations, I Am making a way.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord You are the God who breaks down walls, who destroys barriers and who makes a way where there seems to be no way. Thank You Lord that You are making Your glory more accessible, and the path more clear to the people and the nations Lord. Thank You for making a way to unity in heart and deed.
- Declare, the glory of the Lord endures forever. He makes a way where there is no way. Nothing is impossible for God. He will draw all men and all nations to Himself.
- Decree, I love the Presence of the Lord. I will worship Him in Spirit and in truth. I will sing of His love forever. I will join hands and unite with those who love the Lord and diligently seek Him.
