Today’s Readings:
Psalm 24
Psalm 51
2 Corinthians 2

6 Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being,
and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
7
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Psalm 51:6-7

The Spirit of the Lord says,
Holiness. Purity. Strength. Courage under fire. Resilience. Steadfastness. I desire truth in the innermost parts, because truth in your heart and in your being does not permit compromise when the heat gets turned up, when the circumstances get dicey, when the pressure mounts. Truth in the innermost parts forms a framework and solid boundaries. Truth and purity in truth is a great bulwark against the ever creeping, ever raging onslaught of compromise that presents itself. Purity in truth, pure, unadulterated truth grants compromise no entry. Compromise is pushed back. It is called out, and it is refused.

3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
5 He will receive blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

Psalm 24:3-6

I Am calling up My roaring lions of truth. I Am calling up My fiery ones who burn for Me. I Am calling them to the front lines to hold the line of truth. I Am calling these warriors to expand the territory occupied by truth. They are not going to strafe into the enemy’s territory of compromise. Instead, they are overwhelming compromise with truth and taking the territory that has until now been marked by compromise, lies and unholy, unsanctioned negotiations. There is a place for compromise — in the domain of desire and honor. Compromise has no standing in matters of truth, morality and the Word of your Living God.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from your presence,
and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
13
Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will return to you.

Psalm 51:10-13

Will you be ones who serve and nourish others with only the truth? Will you be ones whose innermost parts are marked by truth, purity and innocence? I desire truth in the innermost parts. I desire for my people to be ones of clean lips and a clean heart. This self-discipline, this partnership with Me is what lays the groundwork for the strength of conviction and the strength to hold the line when compromise comes calling. It provides the foundation for the strength to advance and occupy the places that were once held by compromise. To conquer for truth and purity, there can be no trace of compromise.

14 But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.15 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing, 16 to one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17

Truth and purity are a sweet sweet fragrance to Me and to all who surround you. Don’t underestimate the power, the strength and the anointing that is carried by those whose hearts, lives, lips and hands are marked by truth, integrity and purity. These are the warriors who will advance, take and occupy the land previously held by compromise for the cause of truth.

How to Respond

  • Sit with the Lord and ask Him to show you any areas of compromise in your heart and life. Ask Him to reveal to you any lies that you may be believing or partnering with — whether knowingly or unknowingly.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come and search my heart. Purify me as with hyssop. Make me a son/daughter with clean lips and a pure heart. Make me one who is worthy to ascend the hill of the Lord, in whom there is no unclean way and no compromise — only truth.
  • Declare, The Lord is moving to advance truth, truth tellers and ones who live and operate from a place of purity and no compromise. Truth will advance and occupy much territory that has long been held by compromise, lies and unholy negotiations.
  • Decree, I will be one in whom the Lord finds truth, purity, faithfulness and no compromise. I will go to the front lines as the Lord instructs, and I will take ground that has long been held by the enemy and by compromise. I will take that territory for truth with the help of the Lord God Almighty.
