Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 51
Isaiah 52

This is what your sovereign ruler, Lord Yahweh, your God, the Mighty Defender of his people, says: “Look! I have removed from your hand the intoxicating cup that made you stagger. You will no longer drink from the bowl of my anger. Instead, I will put that bowl in the hands of your tormentors who said to you, ‘Lie down so we can walk all over you!’ For your back became like the ground they trample on, like a street for them to walk on.”

Isaiah‬ ‭51‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭TPT‬‬

As I sat waiting to hear from the Lord this morning I heard the voices of many pleading — “mercy, mercy Lord.” Then I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Cries for mercy have risen to My ears. They have risen to the heavenly realm. The hearts’s cry of My people is for mercy, and I Am moving to fulfill it. The Earth has become a desolate place for My people. Much has been robbed. Much has been stolen. Much has been plundered. Nearly all has been taken. I have made you a generous people, but I have not made you to be ones whose backs are walked on continuously. I made you with the heart and capacity to create and give from the overflow. I’ve made you with the heart to give even from a place of lack. But to the one who steals, it is not a gift. It is robbery, theft and plunder. And I Am restoring all.

Wake up! Open your eyes! Beautiful Zion, put on your majestic strength! Jerusalem, the sacred city, put on your glory garments! Never again will the unclean enter your gates! Arise and shake off your dust! Sit enthroned, Jerusalem! Break off your shackles of bondage from your neck, you captive daughter of Zion! For this is what Yahweh has to say: “You were sold for nothing; now you will be redeemed without any payment.” For Yahweh says: “Long ago, my people went down to Egypt and lived as foreigners there, and for no good reason Assyria oppressed them. And now, what have I here?” says Yahweh. “Indeed, my people have been taken into bondage without cause while mocking rulers howl; and every day my name is continually despised!” says Yahweh. “Therefore, my people will know the power of my name, and they will know in that day that I am the one who promised them, saying, ‘Behold, I am here!’

Isaiah‬ ‭52‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I have heard the cries of My people for mercy. I have heard the cries of my people for a champion, for a reckoning, for a fair accounting and for breakthrough. And I Am moving to fulfill it. Two worlds are colliding. Two kingdoms are colliding. And the Kingdom of God will win. It will prevail. My reign, My governance, My authority will put a stop to the incessant and continual theft and plunder of My people, and I will cause you to prosper again. I will cause your heart to be merry and your barns and homes to be full and overflow again. I will restore and right your generous hearts again. I will remove the shackles of slavery and the mantle of defeat, and I will replace them with scepters to reign and robes of royalty to rule and govern My affairs with Me.

What a beautiful sight to behold— the precious feet of the messenger coming over the mountains to announce good news! He comes to refresh us with wonderful news, announcing salvation to Zion and saying, “Your Mighty God reigns!” Listen! The watchmen are shouting in triumph! Lifting their voices together, they are singing for joy! For right before their eyes, they can see Yahweh returning to Zion! Burst into joyous songs, you rubble of Jerusalem! For Yahweh has graciously comforted his people; he has become the Kinsman-Redeemer of Jerusalem! Yahweh has unveiled his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations. To the ends of the earth, everyone everywhere will see the salvation of our God!

Isaiah‬ ‭52‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This is My land. This is My people. I Am moving in response to their cries for mercy. I Am moving in response to their cries for righteous judgement. I Am raising them up from the ashes of defeat. I Am restoring all. The people will say, “it was the Lord who did it. He is the one deserving of the honor, glory and praise. He is the one who restored all and even added to it. All glory, honor and praise is due to the Lord of all!”

How to Respond

  • Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for moving in response to the cries of Your people for mercy. Bring the reckoning. Bring the righteous judgement, and cause us to recover all that the enemy has stolen. You are the One worthy of all glory, honor and praise! You are the only one who can bring justice and recompense to me and to all of Your people who bear Your Name.
  • Declare, Indeed, Yahweh will comfort Zion, restore her, and comfort all her broken places. He will transform her wilderness into the garden of Bliss, her desert into the garden of Yahweh. Joy and laughter will fill the air with thanksgiving and joyous melodies. — Isaiah‬ ‭51‬:‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, the Lord is moving in response to the deep cries of His people for mercy. The enemy’s reign will be met with a decisive blow, and the Kingdom of God will defeat it. Where the people of God have been trampled upon, beaten down, enslaved and plundered, the Lord of all is bringing freedom, breakthrough and righteous judgement. And He will recover all for us. We will live in full restoration and even more will be added to it. We will no longer be known as subjects and slaves. We are rising up in the strength of the Lord by His great mercy to our rightful position as kings.
