1 Thessalonians 5:16-24
19 Never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit. 20 And don’t be one who scorns prophecies, 21 but be faithful to examine them by putting them to the test, and afterward hold tightly to what has proven to be right. 22 Avoid every appearance of evil.
23 Now, may the God of peace and harmony set you apart, making you completely holy. And may your entire being—spirit, soul, and body—be kept completely flawless in the appearing of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. 24 The one who calls you by name is trustworthy and will thoroughly complete his work in you.
Be On Guard
The Lord says,
The enemy is prowling around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Be on guard. Set up the boundaries of your heart and mind firmly, so that you are not affected by his advances and you are not susceptible to his attacks. Keep your guard up. Keep your reflexes ready. Rebuke every attack. Bind the enemy and break off every assignment and attack. Do not let guilt or shame have a home in your heart. These are not from Me. These are the hooks that the enemy digs into you, and he means to take you down with them.
Declare that guilt and shame have no place with you. Declare that you are a child of the Most High King, covered in the Blood of Jesus and robed in the garments of praise. Declare that the enemy must go! Do not sit idle in this time. Be on guard. Be at the the ready. Defend your position. Protect your home with declarations, prayer and worship. Repent of any lingering sin. Let go of any offenses. Be pure and keep a short account before the Lord. Give the enemy no grounds for entry. He is desperate, and he will take anything that he can get from you. Be careful what you come into agreement with. Keep your eyes staid on Me. Listen to My voice and be sensitive to the move of My Spirit. I will guide you in wisdom and righteousness.
Do not come into agreement with the lies of the enemy about you or anyone else. Give gossip no entry. Truth and love must be ever upon your heart and lips. Don’t permit others to speak lies to you. Don’t allow idle chatter that is not uplifting to have a place with you. Whatever is true, right, holy, lovely — dwell on these things. Welcome these things. Give ground to nothing false, nothing smearing, nothing biting. Your tongue is a powerful weapon, and your agreement is a door. Take great care with your weapon and the doors of your mind, heart and mouth.
Be On Offense
The Lord says,
You are not only to be on defense. I Am calling you to advance, to march, to run into the battlefield. Be proactive. Resist the enemy. Demolish the lies that are built up before you. Use the tools you have in your hands. Use great discernment. My love and My Spirit are flowing through you. You know when you feel a check or a pullback in your heart. Listen to that. You know when you feel a strong sense of “go, run, fight” as well. This is intense spiritual warfare. Stay tuned into Me, and you will not make a wrong step. I Am here. I Am beside you. I go before you, and I Am your rear guard. Whom or what shall you fear?
Trust Me. Lean on Me. Wait for Me. Run in with Me. This is how we fight our battles. Take My lead. You have My voice of instruction in your heart.
The Lord is Righting the Ship of America
The Lord says,
I Am healing. I Am putting wind back into the sails of America. I Am righting the ship and causing her to sail under the power of My wind and direction. She will sail right again. I Am positioning her in the slipstream of My grace, and she is sailing on course, directly for that wide open spacious place of freedom. She has no hindrances and nothing holding her back. The light of My countenance is on her. I Am shining on her. The warming light of My truth will be welcomed. To some it will be blinding and searing. It may cause them to jump ship or be thrown overboard. But to many the light of My truth will be welcome. To many it will bring healing and a return to sight and hearing and discernment.
The light of My truth is shining from the west and will extend across and touch the east.
The pace is picking up. The pace has quickened dramatically, and you feel it. You sense it. You can tell that things are not business as usual. This is an Amos 9:13 time – where things will happen so fast that your head will spin. The pace of change, of news, of new developments is happening so quickly. Keep your eyes on Me, so you don’t get disoriented. Keep your eyes on Me, so you don’t lose hope or faint. Stand firm. I have positioned America in My slipstream of grace. I have positioned her to move quickly and decisively toward what is right, toward freedom.
Hold on. Things are speeding up, and they are heating up. Change upon change upon change is coming.
How To Respond
- Don’t let your heart be downcast. Keep your eyes on the Lord.
- Stand firm.
- Give the enemy no ground.
- Pray without ceasing.
- Live with thanksgiving in your heart and worship on your lips at all times.
- Declare the goodness and the with fullness of the Lord.
- Declare that the Lord is moving America forward and has positioned her for a return to what is right and to freedom.
