Today’s Reading:
Psalm 33
Psalm 34
”The Lord alone is our radiant hope and we trust in him with all our hearts. His wraparound presence will strengthen us. As we trust, we rejoice with an uncontained joy flowing from Yahweh! Let your love and steadfast kindness overshadow us continually, for we trust and we wait upon you!“
Psalms 33:20-22 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God says,
My choicest morsels I have reserved for My elect — for those who have wrapped their lives in Me, who have hidden their lives in Me. Those whose lives are fully hidden, fully wrapped in Me will get the reward of the secret place. I have reserved the choicest morsels for them. I have reserved the best parts for them — the best parts of Me, the hidden parts of Me. They will taste and see that I Am good. They will experience fullness, fulfillment and deep delight, because they have tucked and hidden themselves in Me.
”O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!“
Psalms 34:8 NASB1995
For them it was not about recognition. It has not been about fanfare, notoriety or selfish gain. It has been about cocooning themselves in Me and going deeper, even through the darkness into the secret place with Me, in the great depths with Me — knowing not when they would emerge. Knowing not when the darkness would break. Caring not for personal reputation or ambition, but laying themselves down in Me in a place and posture of great humility to know Me and to become more like Me, to spend time with Me and pick up the very fragrance of Me. These are lives well lived. Lives laid down, lives poured out, lives on the altar are lives well spent in pursuit of deep, personal, unblemished connection with Me. For you I have reserved the choicest parts. You have known Me, and you will know Me still, yet in a new way, in a surprising way. I will supply you in great abundance. You will know Me as the Captain of the Banquet who has reserved the best parts for you, who has set aside a seat of honor and a place overflowing for you. You have gone into the dark places with Me. You have not set a time or made demands on when your time in the darkness would end. You have waited on My timing. You have trusted in My timing, and now I Am releasing you from this greatly confining darkness. I Am releasing you as a transformed one, as a beautiful new creation. I have prepared a seat, and I Am seating you at a place of honor with the choicest parts, with a bounty of abundance overflowing.
”Worship in awe and wonder, all you who’ve been made holy! For all who fear him will feast with plenty. Even the strong and the wealthy grow weak and hungry, but those who passionately pursue the Lord will never lack any good thing.“
Psalms 34:9-10 TPT
It will take some time for your eyes to adjust to life outside of the darkness. It will take some time for your mind to adjust to the realities of your new gifting and anointings. I Am sharpening your eyesight, your vision, in the spirit realm; and I have set wings on your back, so you can fly. No longer will you creep and crawl and advance at slow rates. But you will fly with ease, with grace. And you will multiply and bring great fruitfulness to the fields of My planting and to the protected gardens of My planting. For those who have tarried with Me in the darkness, I have reserved the choicest parts.
How to Respond
- Remain hidden in the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for teaching me, for comforting me, for guiding me through this time of great darkness. Thank You for seeing me. Thank You for not forgetting me or leaving me here. Lord, I am overwhelmed by Your goodness, and look forward with great anticipation to see the fulfillment of all You’ve put in my heart. I long with great joy to see You in a new way — as the Captain of the Banquet of abundance.
- Declare, the Lord never fails. He never leaves or forsakes me. He has walked with me through the great darkness, and He is releasing me now into the brilliant light. He has reserved a place for me and for all who have wrapped themselves in Him — a place of honor and abundance.
- Decree, I will taste and see that the Lord is good. I will experience the fulfillment of the Lord’s promises to me. I will laugh like those who dream when I take my seat at the Lord’s banquet table.
