Psalm 89:1-18
1 Peter 5:6-11
Isaiah 30:18-33

6 If you bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands. 7 Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you. 8 Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour.

1 Peter 5:6-8

Come to the Father

The Lord says,
Your mind and your body have been wound tight. The stress, the anxiety, the fear and uncertainty have been battling against you. Come gently, quietly, humbly like a little child to My throne of grace. Draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you. Though you are burdened with concerns for the future and see no clear path forward to tomorrow, I Am with you. Just sit with Me. Rest in My Presence. Lean into My goodness. Remind yourself of My character – it is a strong tower, a safe place for you to find refuge. I Am always good, always true, always righteous. I Am love itself. Nothing can overcome Me, surprise Me or overwhelm Me. I Am the Lord God Most High. Come. Sit. Stay in My Presence. Draw from Me the peace you need. Draw from Me the truth you need. Draw from Me the the spirit of thanksgiving you need. Remember Who I Am and that I have never left you nor forsaken you. I won’t leave you now.

Come. Rest. Find strength. Find courage. Find joy. Find hope. Let Me be the generator of all of these things in your broken and wearied soul. I will empower you. I will restore the light to your eyes. I will make all things like new for you. But for now rest, trust and find restoration in Me, the Source of all energy, power, light and life. I Am the very air you breathe. Whom or what shall you fear? Come. Sit. Rest. Trust. I Am here. I Am waiting. I Am beckoning you, come.

2 “Increase is coming, so enlarge your tent
and add extensions to your dwelling.
Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger.
3 You will increase and spread out in every direction.
Your sons and daughters will conquer nations
and revitalize desolate cities.
4 Do not fear, for your shame is no more.
Do not be embarrassed,
for you will not be disgraced.
You will forget the inadequacy you felt in your youth
and will no longer remember the shame of your widowhood.
5 For your Maker is your husband;
his name is Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies!
Your Kinsman-Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel!
He has the title Mighty God of All the Earth!

Isaiah 54:2-5

The Lord Will Repay

Vengeance is Mine, says the Lord. Yours is to trust, to ask, to watch, to listen and to obey. Mine is to repay. What the enemy meant for evil, I will turn to good. Your eyes can’t see it now, and your heart can’t fathom it now. But I Am turning all things to good for those who love Me and are called according to My purpose. These are silver lining days. If you look to Me, rest in Me, consult Me, and ask Me for My wisdom and My eyes, you will see much silver lining in these days ahead. You will see how I Am enlarging your tent and extending the reach of your tent pegs. You will see how I Am using the destruction and the chaos for My own purposes, and you will see how I make all things new. You will see how I make all things beautiful in My time. And yes, you will see how I make the enemy pay.

My hand will come heavy upon the adversary, and those with him will face a terrible judgement. Pray for mercy for their souls. Pray that their hearts can be reached, and they can reach out to grasp mercy and redemption before it’s too late. It looks like destruction and chaos is all around. Bad reports and worse reports. This is the handiwork of the enemy. He only lies, steals, kills and destroys. But watch what I will do with it.

I will create new opportunities, new connections, new assignments and new paths in the midst of this destruction and chaos. My change is here. The enemy cannot see that I Am building something new in the midst of all this, but I Am indeed. And My great flip is near.

Don’t despair. Don’t lay your weapons down, and don’t signal defeat. We are victorious. You will soon see and experience the most improbable victory you have ever witnessed. It will come out of nowhere.

How to Respond

  • Choose hope.
  • Sit at the feet of the Father and find restoration, hope, joy and energy. Find restoration for your soul.
  • Ask the Lord to give you eyes to see the silver linings and the works of His hands in your situation.
  • Declare that the Lord is victorious and He is bringing vengeance against those who have partnered with evil to lie, steal, kill and destroy.
  • Pray for those who have sided with evil – that they would awaken and find mercy in Jesus while they still can.
  • Declare that the best days are yet ahead and that the Lord is bringing new opportunities, relationships, connections and direction through all of this.
